Honestly I come here for the deli! I loveeee their Italian sandwiches/paninis. The owner is so sweet and it’s made fresh on the spot. If you’re looking for alcohol, this is THE spot on the block. Plenty of street parking and close parking to the beach!

1 piece of red bell pepper and 1 piece of potato (not 1lb, 1 piece each) cost me 10$. I have never seen such inflated price anywhere. Add this place to your blacklist. Such local places should go bankruptcy..

There are no mis charges. The owners response sounds like it was a mistake. I reported this business to consumer protection office, better business bureau and ftc. I really would like to see their faces once they see $5 per one piece potato.

Great local market with an insane selection of goods. They have great wines, lots of food, a delicious deli cafe with coffee, juice, sandwiches and a decent selection of produce that has saved us a few times from having to make a trip to the grocery store. They even carry locally made products like Bloody Gerry Premium Bloody Mary Mix from Venice. We are lucky to have this local market in walking distance.

I go here all the time as it is in walking distance from my place. The staff is friendly, deli is fresh, great selection of liquor, beer, wine, and other essentials. A plus is they have a great selection of ice cream and fresh fruit/veggies. Everything is expensive in this area but Alan’s is the best price on all alcohol compared to all the nearby liquor/beer stores. In some cases it’s a $5+ difference!

This place is a no-go. I've lived in this neighborhood for 3 years and Alan's could be a great neighborhood market but it's trash. $20 for a 4-pack of beer that Bristol Farms sells for $11. I bought freezer burned breakfast sausage a few weeks ago and tonight I bought room temp blue cheese dressing from the produce section that had a broken seal. This place is a joke. The neighborhood needs a good market but this place isn't it. Either care about your neighbors and customers or sell it to someone who will.

I do like this corner store however I don't like that they don't display prices for their items. Most items seem to be reasonably priced (It's a fun game of Russian Roulette each time at the counter.. not really) but sometimes you'll find an item or two waaaay overpriced. I just now picked up a frozen pizza from them thinking "surely it can't be more than $10... WRONG. When I went to pay for it in the front I found out they are charging $15.99 for a Digornio frozen pizza. HIGHWAY ROBBERY. I've never seen a Digornio pizza for over $9 in a grocery store... What a rip off! I'll think twice about what I purchase from here again.

Price labels would be more helpful and transparent for the customer, which would lead to a happier interaction and experience.

Careful. They intentionally hide prices. Good selection but priced with the neighborhood. 6 pack of beer is $22, kinder egg $4. Few customers complained. Shop elsewhere if you’re price conscious. Else carry on.
