Ordered a matcha americano and a custom build your own bagel. The bagel was super solid ! Great flavor, fresh ingredients, would definitely order again. I wish more locations offered the bagel on the menu !

First time here. Service was swift and professional-serious.
The Matcha doodle was different from the photos on the marketing poster behind the cashier.
Of note: this is one of the few places where the Matcha Latte is not pre-sweetened.
Cost point: $6 for hot matcha latte; including tips.
The staff seems under pressure; maybe training or understaffing issues?

I usually go to Alfred in Melrose or in Rodeo Dr in Beverly Hills. This is my least favorite one despite the nice location setting with boardwalk in Marina Del Ray. Not only that they often spell my simple name in the most creative (incorrect) way may be because of the hearing issues, music was too loud, or intentionally for whatever other reasons, but also the menu questions are not answered in a helpful way at all. At times, I wanted to try different drinks but it does not seem like asking questions may be a good option here. Unless you are in the area for something else, I would recommend trying Alfred in other locations instead. For a fairly good coffee, it’s certainly not the most pleasant service that keeps up with this beautiful location which is really sad. Also for those who interact with customers, it may be a good idea start listening out more carefully.

Nice place to stop for a coffee. Decent cold brew and lavender latte. Nothing spectacular. Interesting decor provides something to look at while you wait. Atmosphere enhanced by the marina view outdoors.

Coffee is great. It’s by the slips at MDR so pleasant to sit outside. Very clean and modern shop if not slightly sterile but in a good modern way. It would be a spectacular place to visit if the staff were just mildly friendly and not self-absorbed. I mean they were so busy chatting it up amongst themselves that they couldn’t care less to even call my name. Also, they got it spectacularly wrong. But that’s OK, being the only customer in the shop I pulled sleeves from the two drinks on the counter until figuring out my order. Not ideal.

Wonderful location right on the water, quick and attentive service, plenty of outdoor seating.

Prices are typical for a nicer coffee shop little high but standard for the service and atmosphere. There is a large selection of croissants and breakfast pastries upfront that look amazing. We had a cinnamon one that was really good and filled with cinnamon flavor filling instead of just sprinkled on top.

Coffee is quick they are moving in the morning and happy to customize. Few seats /standing bar inside but plenty outside. The parking is annoying bc you have to get a ticket but they validate which is a must remember otherwise your coffee just got way more expensive

They can get busy in the morning as they're also taking online orders (uber eats, Postmates and their own app) so plan accordingly even if it doesn't look busy inside

The rico suave breakfast burrito is so good! The iced vanilla latte was also good but a bit too sweet for me. The chocolate croissant was not good. Not flaky or crunchy. Would come back but maybe stay clear of pastries!
