I just had my annual exam at the Eye of the Marina with Dr. Farah Gozini, who is very sweet and gentle. She spent a good amount of time responding to all my questions and the exchange was fun and lovely. Then, I had an AMAZING experience with Iggy, the optical manager (a real artist!) who knew right away which pair of glasses would fit me the best. I just let him select everything for me, I had a blast! He just knew. I really enjoyed the whole experience. I'm very happy with my new glasses AND sunglasses (I didn't plan getting sunglasses but they fit me way too well).

I am not done with them yet but so far it's my worst experience. Once they have your payment the goal is to get you out and settled ASAP delaying as much as possible rechecking your lenses adjustments and clearly avoiding having to order new.ones. I am the most uncomfortable I have been driving in 40 years of wearing lenses and they keep repeating I need.to continue trying them. Lol. We will see ....ironic. They're almost rude and pretty unhelpful. Not cool.

Your eyes are a source of safety in your daily life, and for that reason you do not want to put your eye health in the hands of Eyes of the Marina.

The issues happen once you’ve been a patient for over a year and depend on them to be able to see. I’ve been going here for years.

They will try to make you come in for eye exams as often as legally possible at the risk of your own health so that they can make more money off of you. They (in my particular case, the obese male at the front desk) will lie about the legality of how often they’re required to perform eye exams.

The 1 year rule in California is a minimum, not a maximum, and prescriptions can be for 1-2 years at the discretion of the doctor. Mention that, and they’ll tell you “well you signed the original prescription didn’t you?”

It’s hazardous for me to drive without contacts. Life is busy, and you can’t always make it in for an eye exam before you run out of contacts. If you can’t make it in for an eye exam, they will hold your prescription hostage because making money on an eye exam is more important to them than the safety of the patient.

This place will smile and act friendly until it’s time for actual patient care. If a road incident happens, it will be entirely credited to the hospitality and business conduct of Eyes of The Marina.

Have been a client for a number of years. Great doctors. Great customer service. Oscar has helped me out on multiple pairs and he does an excellent job. He’s friendly and cares. Does quality work. I had to leave out of town very quickly and Oscar turned the pair around within a few days.

Really bad experience here. The front office staff is so rude and unhelpful. The woman who helped me at the front acted extremely annoyed when I asked questions. Also, extremely overpriced. Force you to do testing that is not required at other optometrists for an additional fee not covered by insurance. My only good interaction here was with the doctor who was knowledgeable and personable. However, my interactions with the incredibly rude and dismissive front office staff will lead me not to return here.

I was offered progressive lenses that I don’t even need. Those progressive lenses gave me headaches all times and the “manager” said the solution was to take Advil like if there tic tacs. They refused to give me the refund for the progressive lenses. I haven’t heard from the owner or doctor and the supposed “manager” told me he’s nobody to give a solution. The “manager” only lured you to buy frames and if you have a problem they won’t resolve it. It is a joke the “manager” and the store. Avoid this place at all cost and save your time and money.
