Jay was super friendly and helpful, gave me and my friends great tips on where to surf and told us about his experience serving as the mayor of Malibu (twice!) and hanging out with movie stars. Super cool guy and has great prices for rentals. Praying that Zuma Jay's wasn't hit by the fire!

Zuma Jay’s is where we’re getting all my surfing goods in Cali from now on!

They’re prices are fair and the knowledge, service and care that Jay and Luke provided was impressive.

The duo was also very accommodating as we were a few minutes late returning our boards and they still took them in for us!

Looking forward to our next Malibu trip and staying longer next time and make the most of our surfing gear from Zuma’s.

I decided to come back and write this review a year later (Nov, 2023) because the positive experience stayed with me. Jay was incredibly helpful, offering valuable tips on surfing, and pointing out what to watch for in the sea. His knowledge and passion for surfing were evident and greatly appreciated. He also suggested some fantastic surf films that I thoroughly enjoyed.

The rest of the staff were super cool and friendly too, making the entire visit enjoyable. Their welcoming attitude and willingness to help left a lasting impression.

this place was a lifesaver. we forgot our towels when we went to the beach and thankfully they had a ton of them for a great price. not to mention the guy that was in there running the place had a great vibe

Visited in May 2023. Cute old school shop, looks like it's family run. They sell articles for surfing and cute local t-shirts that I bought as a souvenir. They say Malibu and they are very affordable, which is unheard of for a souvenir from Malibu. Thank you!
