Such a wide range of clothing and jewelry. I really love the decor and the quantities that they have here. The employees were kind. I think a Carly or Carla helped me at the fitting room. She was very kind. I really appreciated that. It’s very clean and spacious. I’ll def be returning. They have a great selection of clothing here which is something I can’t say for every Urban Outfitters location.

Urban Outfitters at the Malibu Country Mart accentuates the meaning of West Coast beach fashion in L.A.! Many of the styles and trims based on bright blue colors to emphasize the beach vibe in Malibu. The staff was busy!

Had a very odd interaction, or I don’t know what to call it since the younger generation has so much difficulty with any sort of human interaction. I was in the store and said “hello” to who I thought was an employee…turns out she was but there shopping on her off time. You would thought I had said something horrible or rude. No. I just said hello. I even walked up to her and apologized for thinking she was an employee and that the reason I said hello was just to be nice to an employee. Or just to be nice in general. But either way…if an employee of the store is going to shop in the store when it’s open to customers…at least be cordial. Stop with the *itchy attitude and try and be nice. Or shop when the store is closed. She really made me feel unwelcome and creepy. What is wrong with people today that you can’t even say hello without them thinking you have an ulterior motive. I even told the male clerk what had happened as I was checking out and he didn’t care either. He didn’t even ask me for my rewards info so I missed out on my credit for this transaction.
I just wish people could try and be nicer to others. It’s really not that hard. The Westwood Urban Outfitters store has really nice people there. The Malibu store could learn from them.

As cute and clean as the store is, the employees make you feel very uncomfortable. The two sales people on the floor couldn’t stop watching me and my daughter. It was so bad that, as one stared at me, I walked up to her with my merchandise and told her, “since she and her coworker had such an issue that they had to watch me and my daughter, than I don’t need to shop there” and handed over the shoes.

That's where Urban Fritters comes in... This flagship store in Malibu Colony is nothing short of perfect: genuinely kind and übersmart manager and staff allow you to practice reintegration skills (Thank you, Sadie Luna & Co.!)
An item was omitted from their ubiquitous market bag, and I was sent an email, allowed back in, unlocked by a staff member minutes after closing. Their prices may have gone up, but I support them (in honor of my inner teenager) as their gifts are unique and cozy. And last well past the birthday celebration, in sentiment and quality. Thank YOU for reopening!

Typical Urban Outfitters except without the hip atmosphere. Took awhile to be greeted too. For being in Malibu, you would think they would up their game a bit. At least there were comfy chairs to sit (even if the rug had a huge drink stain) and a/c!
