The marina provides the perfect backdrop of a stunning pool with gorgeous cabanas and seals sleeping on surrounding boat decks. The beds are extremely comfortable and the restaurant provides excellent food with live music in the bar weekly. The stand out at this hotel is the staff who always make you feel appreciated and valued. Centrally located near many excellent restaurants and shopping areas like Venice, Abbot Kenney, Santa Monica, and Manhattan Beach. Other destinations such as museums, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood are also conveniently located.

Third stay! Gorgeous Marina Del Rey views in a great near LAX location for uus— Portland, OR, for attending our annual family reunion. Clean, modern, classy boutique hotel. We had had 2 romantic days first. Then our daughter & grandchildren joined in room across the hall. The pool is clean & warm ( 85 degrees!)) Enjoyed pool & hot tub every day,(even though was 62 degrees outside) . The Salt Restaurant has room service and restaurant is nice with fire pits. Really loved loved the relaxing nightly bar music by the fire pits. we will be back again next year.

Booked the hotel 13 months ago just to stay here for two days. found every single staff member is friendly, approachable, communicative and professional. Felt more personal touch rather than the one at giant international hotel chains. Lastly a big thanks to everyone at front desk in particular. You guys made two days stay special and unforgettable. Now on the way back home.

Very nice hotel and area! Plenty to see and do within walking distance. Safe area, barking sea lions every day right in the marina. Beautiful boats and yachts parked in the large marina to watch coming and going. The hotel is very nice inside and out with walls of nostalgic photos from what appears to be the 50's and 60's.

to use the last 5% of my laptop battery to leave this review about this hotel. Unfortunately, I can only describe it as “the bare minimum.” From service to staff behavior, everything was mediocre. The facility is outdated, and the customer experience reflects this, with practices that feel like a rip-off.

For example, from the moment we parked our car, we were charged $40 for valet parking—even if we opted to self-park! At the front desk, things didn’t improve. When we checked in at 9 PM, the older gentleman working the desk didn’t even make eye contact. We were traveling with our dog, and while we expected to be given a pet-friendly room, it lacked even basic conveniences like proximity to a pet relief area. By contrast, another pet-friendly hotel we stayed at in Santa Cruz accommodated us much better without us having to ask.

It was a quiet weekday during Thanksgiving, with the hotel nearly empty, yet we were still assigned a room with a parking lot view, despite better rooms likely being available. It felt like the staff didn’t care about the treatment of their guests or any potential feedback.

Overall, I was terribly disappointed with my experience and would not return. If you advertise yourself as pet-friendly, it’s essential to train your staff to provide an appropriate level of service to clients traveling with pets.

Pros: Good marina with sunset views. Good shower with perfect water pressure. Clean and private bathroom.
Cons: Smelled like a public bathroom in the lobby. Some furniture was worn out. Bed linen wasn't ironed.
Patio furniture was covered in seagull feces. Valet is $50 or $60 which makes zero sense when the parking lot is only 10 feet away from the hotel entrance. No breakfast option.

I had a day off of work and I came here to dine at the restaurant inside of the hotel. The positive tone of my experience was immediately set by Johan, Nick and Isaiah, the valet gentlemen. Their warmth, inclusivity and caring nature made me feel like I was staying at an extension of my own home. I am grateful that I got to finish off my experience the way I came in. This hotel hires exceptional employees from valet drivers, hotel receptionist to restaurant hostess, and bartenders. 10/10.

Stayed at this hotel twice during a two week long stint in LA. Furnace both times didn’t work in the room and had to call maintenance who didn’t seem to know what the issue was. Second room filled with sewage gas unexpectedly and had to switch rooms. Guests were sloppy and left huge messes st the pool and business center. Nice looking hotel and maybe it was just an off time period, but too expensive for the quality received. Good restaurant and coffee shop though. Front desk as pretty nice as well.
