I bought (unfortunately) a dollar shave club razor today for the first time. I tried using it. The 6 blade version. What a terrible razor! I've been shaving my head for over 20 years and my face since I was 16 and have used some bad razors, but DSC is the worst of the worst. Blade is cheap and won't give a clean shave. I went over the same spot over and over. I went with the grain and against, but it would not work. I broke it out of frustration and threw all the extra worthless blades away as well. I don't see how they are still in business. Sad.

This company is the absolute worst. First, the gift card I was trying to redeem does not work on the website. Second, the customer service phone line is useless because it is down and inoperable. The online chat is useless because that also is down and there is no customer service agents to help you. Email is the only way to reach customer service and there is a 2 to 3 day turnaround and you only get one answer every 2 to 3 days. Itโ€™s been a week and I still havenโ€™t been able to place an order using the gift card I was given.

The products are awesome! I wish I could turn this around though....

Less than 50% of the time their products come in a box similar to the pictured condition. Smothered with either the shaving cream, shampoo, or other pleasantly smelling liquids. The service rep I texted, asked how much can be salvaged; like it's my responsibility to go see what she had to resend. Her response should have been (like the first rep I talked to for my first package), "I'm sending you a fresh box now, what's your address?"
And don't worry DSC, I will also be writing a horrible and scathing review for the USPS. But the cap on the shampoo wasn't even on the bottle at all.
It smells wonderful. And after I SALVAGED everything else I was actually grateful to have this midday cleansing. But to be honest, my day is already filled with mishaps. I have a 5 year old and 8 year old. This was the last straw.

First off, let me say that Dollar Shave Club has great value for the money. I've only had experience with the blades and handles and they are of good quality. After a couple of months, I found I was getting more blades then I was using, plus I had since decided to grow a beard. So as you can imagine, I didn't need as many razors. So I canceled my subscription. Again, this whole process was simple and easy, no complaints at all.
Recently, I have been shaving a bit more and my handle broke for my razor. Keep in mind, I still have at least 16 blades never used, but am still in need of a new handle.
No problem right?
Dollar Shave Club have up to this point had great customer service. I went on the website, filtered it to show only handles and blades and saw there were only 2 options of handles. The only difference being colour.
I decide to order 2 and the handles arrive a couple days later. I open them up, only to discover that the way they connect to the blades has changed. Ok, so I guess they've updated their handles. No problem, I haven't used these handles at all, so I'll just send them back. The 2nd one I didn't even take out of the wrapped package.
I email requesting either blades to replace my old ones, or return my handles and send 2 older models (if they even have them anymore).
I would also like to state here, that in my email to Dollar Shave Club I said that I loved their product (I do) and would subscribe again, once I run out of blades (I will).
They responded saying they cannot accept returns at this time because the nature of their products. I would understand that if it were the blades I was trying to return, but these are handles I cannot even use.

I don't even mind paying the shipping, but I do think I should be able to return these and get the new handles. Again, willing to pay, not looking for anything free, just an understanding and better customer service.

Something to think about.

I did a T-Mobile Tuesday special and it was supposed to be a ONE TIME DEAL and they keep taking money from my account. When I try to cancel (which has been several times) they say I don't have an account, I try to cancel through T-Mobile and they don't show anything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOLLAR SHAVE CLUB!!

Iโ€™ve been a loyal customer for years. Recently DSC changed their premium razor & blades. Ugh. It went from a solid, heavy metal construction to thin, cheap feeling plastic. It used to give a smooth, close shave. Now it gives a bumpy, poor shave - and costs more. They also charge for shipping now. DSC is going to fail imo. They were bought out and the new company thinks they know better, but they donโ€™t. I fired them!

I used them for the convenience of getting razors monthly in the mail.
The razors were decent, nothing to write home about, but I kept the subscription because of the convenience.
The thing that really irked me and made me cancel my subscription was their incessant email campaign to get me to order more merchandise from them.
I tried unsubscribing 5 times and each time I still received a flurry of emails.
I actually wrote to customer service requesting that they take me off their mailing list and was told it wouldn't happen again.
Next day?
Another email.
I cancelled my subscription and ordered my razors from Amazon's Subscribe and Save which ended up being cheaper and I got the same blades Dollar Shave uses.
I then made it a point to text all my friends who I got on the Dollar Shave train to sign up for the same blades for a cheaper price on Amazon.
Thanks for driving me to find a cheaper less annoying option Dollar Shave Club!
My wallet and my email inbox appreciate it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Awesome. The heads don't even fit the razor. Spent way too much to have to have to sticky tape the razors to a wooden knife so I can use them. Subscription cancelled will never return. Do not recommend.
