I stayed at Holiday Inn express and stopped here to charge my Tesla. Found this really convenient and the service was excellent. Made perfect subs for me and on time. I ordered meatball marinara, tuna melt and chicken subs. They were perfect. They don’t offer BBQ sauce.

On Father’s Day, went to pick up a sandwich like I do many times they’re expensive number four and the large person making the sandwiches was rude and incompetent and acted like I should be working for her. I have been to the subway a number of times and it was OK but The treatment today was unacceptable by almost anyone’s standards. She was rude could’ve cared less about my sandwich and acted like she didn’t want to be there and I should be paying her or something. I have been treated well there in the past by different people, but this person doesn’t belong serving people . Unfortunate I will probably not return there for a long time even though it’s the only one in Fort Bragg. Pathetic pathetic service!!!

Not busy at all. Ordered the beast and wasn't ready for how stuffed it was. I probably should have gotten a regular sub.

Ceptional Service and Cellent Food for Years!

No, I am not having typing issues. This place will continue to get four star reviews and I will continue to withhold the “Ex” unless something changes.

Ft. Bragg has to be an interesting place to work. And I find that this Subway is always interesting. This place has always been one of the cleaner Subways I have visited. And it is in a mall atop a hill on the outskirts of FB. Why does that matter? Not sure. The workers are, to the one, over the years, both interested and disinterested in working there. Can you blame them? But the sandwiches and salads I have received have been a step above most I have received from other Subways in California and Oregon. Why that is is a question I continue to ponder after this last visit.

This time, I walked into the same sort of vibe. The only worker on staff (what gives?), was in the corner of the kitchen-area texting. She noted I arrived. She said she would be with me in a minute. Then she kept texting. I am sure this was not a text exchange with corporate about new policies and procedures. And she showed absolutely no concern with texting away until she was done. Perhaps it was about her children. Who knows? She never explained this gap of a few minutes to me. But, when those texts were done, I had her attention (then again, I was the only other person in the room). Sandwich and salad were made. She took note of my requests. All was well. Credit paid. Food given. Food eaten a few hours later. Fine.

I suspect that they simply hire good enough workers who do more than good enough work. And that is fine with me. I don’t expect perfection, especially when . . . I . . . am . . . going . . . to . . . Subway. Thing is, there is a bit of an edge to these workers that I find enjoyable. This time I asked if they still had those small packets of croutons (they were, as of this summer, one of the only ones that did). The server said, “No.” I said, “That’s okay. Most of the other Subways have gotten rid of them.” The server replied, "Subway keeps getting rid of a lot of things.” Loved the candor. Sorta’ makes me happy she noticed, and then ignored, me while she finished her texting earlier.

Ft. Bragg has the Subway that Mendocino only wishes it had. Then again, that one would probably be filled with insufferably deadbeats driving hand-me-down BMWs! I kid.

This was a fully stocked deli. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had 3 workers, instead of the one at most other Subways.
