After a busy work night last night I decided to let someone else cook breakfast and after a bit of shopping for necessities, I chose Homestyle Cafe. Cordelia has been a fixture in the culinary scene here for a long time and she is known for great food with a good presentation for a fair price. I was dying for a hamburger which was perfect, ask for the Montreal seasoning. The biscuits and gravy were superb but not too heavy, a testament to the chefs magic and the eggs cooked to perfection. Try the Chili Gods sauce too. Whether you are a local or just in town to visit, come try the food here and soak up the locals atmosphere.

Breakfast burrito was pretty good, as was the bacon. French toast and coffee was just ok, nothing special. Parking lot only had one space left, lot is a little small. Service was surprisingly slow, and I never got one of the items on my order. Oh well. Not worth coming back; better to try other places instead.
Edit: I understand and it's ok. Our waitress did fairly well for her first day, in all honesty. We may come back next time we're in town and try different items. Thanks for the response. Also, giving an extra star for the atmosphere, which was a pleasant nostalgic diner feeling.

Surprisingly great food. Best french fries I've had in many years. I had the breakfast burrito and my partner had an omelette which were both delicious. Central location in fort Bragg. Going back again tomorrow.

The biscuit and gravy was really good. Gravy was very flavorful!
Service was not that great though. Waitress just disappeared so couldn't even get a refill on the coffee. Took awhile to be acknowledged while trying to pay at the front even though there were 2 waitresses standing around...

There has been a restaurant in Fort Bragg from Perko's to the Homestyle Cafe run by Ms Cordelia for as long as I can remember. She is an amazing member of our community and this spot is an institution on the coast. It is warm, friendly where many memories have been made. Today I shared a meal with family and friends, as always it was a great time. While many places have trouble with turnover, Homestyle keeps its high level of service. Everything there is amazing from the side of fruit, to the sausages and pancakes. As you see two meals had the sausage gravy, a fabulous choice here. Fort Bragg has amazing breakfast spots, some more famous. Find out what the locals already know, this spot is 🔥 🔥 .

I am extremely disappointed as a local who has frequented Home Style Cafe many times. Today, I placed a to-go order for an omelette and called back shortly after to ensure avocado and onions were added. An older woman answered the phone and rudely informed me they weren't taking to-go orders, despite having just taken mine 7 minutes earlier. When I tried to explain, she interrupted me, repeating "we're not taking to-go orders" and then hung up on me. This level of disrespect and poor service is unacceptable. I expected better from a place I've supported for so long.

Heard great things about this place but unfortunately wasn’t happy. waitresses were bickering with each other and even though we came late they still sat us then rushed us the entire time. food was nothing special. A single waffle meal and a side of fruit took 40 minutes. staff wasn’t friendly either.

So I just got breakfast here, it was awful, my waffle was thin and cold… zero crispness. The biscuits are flavorless, no taste of butter in them. Also I ordered for to go, at the counter, my bill was $34, then I gave her my card, and she charged a $7 tip on it without my permission! This place is terrible, go to David’s instead.
