Update: the company's response compares this "gift card" to a credit card. They are not the same. A gift card is prepaid, and a credit card is not. And even a credit card isn't expiring every 12 months.... And even when it does expire, I don't need to reach out to the credit card company to get a new card. That's a bad analogy and poor excuse.

Absolutely painful to use, and the "gift card" is actually a "voucher" that expires after a year and requires you (or your giftee) to go back to their website and request another voucher. Too many hoops to jump through just for a "voucher". And they require that you create an account even when purchasing a gift.

We selected Yiftee for our Unique Eugene Community Card for several reasons and have been pleased with every aspect of the program. Their eGift Card program allowed all our locally owned businesses to use one gift card with no fees. A key differentiator for the Yiftee program is their monthly, then quarterly, reminders to the gift card recipient to spend their card, which is what we want people to do. Our merchants find the program easy. Yiftee provides very good marketing support. And probably the icing on the cake is that Yiftee service is beyond exceptional. They answer questions quickly, they listen to our needs as we ramped up, and they innovate to improve the program.

Yiftee has been an awesome addition to our Downtown Association, creating a Downtown giftcard. We searched and searched for platforms that might work across multiple POS systems and didn't find anything that worked well for us until we heard about Yiftee at the Main Street.
