Overall, we enjoyed our stay! The hotel was clean and that's pretty much a plus now a days. The vibe of the hotel is very cozy with some 70s vibes, but not dingy! Our record player in our room seemed to be going out, so that was a bummer. The lighting in our room was too dim(guessing to create a vibe). The Bed pillows aren't so supportive and the bed itself is on the softer side. Check-in was quick, the lady who checked us in didn't give us much infromation about anything, but we just followed the basics of hotel knowledge we knew.

Really awesome hotel. If ever I need to stay near SFO, that's the place. Johnny Cash on vinyl, easy access to airport, if you don't have too much baggage (it's a city bus), feather pillows (for me that's ten ** stars), style. Nice shower. Hmm, I may have left something out, but it's a great hotel at a low price. Awesome value!

Very friendly staff that put me in quiet and far room. Spacious, clean and overall great rooms. Plus for me, automotive fan, was TV channel with Top Gear 24/7 😀 Also they recommended great diner short walk away with their discount. I'll be back there for sure!

It’s an okay motel and nothing more. I know people rave about it this hotel but I don’t see the draw.

Pros:
-Great location and near accessible public transportation
-Provided great value for a one night stay
-Nice amenities on property

Cons:
-Didn’t love the motel feel
-The THINNEST WALLS of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. You could hear EVERYTHING
-While the room was nice, it didn’t feel especially clean and there was poor lighting at night
-Stayed on the 3rd floor and there was tons of rain that flooded the balcony near my room
-Small bathroom
-Everything is in the lobby-the microwave, the ice machine, the exit of the hotel, etc. So if you’re on the top floor in the back of the hotel, it’s a hike to get anything
-Staff wasn’t rude but they weren’t exactly pleasant. I’ve never stayed here beforehand I just needed some guidance and she literally just rattled off everything in record time

I really think this place is just a personal preference. There was nothing truly awful about it but it’s also not a hotel I’ll be running back to

A well executed remodel. Very modern. Within walking distance to the Millbrae BART station, one stop from the SFO Airport stop. Remodeled room with really comfortable beds and pillows. Even the towels were thick and clean. Large, walk-in marble shower with a shower head suitable for even very tall people. The lady at the front desk was very professional and concerned. I felt like she would immediately take care of any issues we may have had during our stay. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. We had breakfast at Neil’s Coffee Shop a block away that was really good. I had the smoked salmon Eggs Benedict and my son had the Greek omelet with gyro meat, both were well prepared and well presented. It was a delight to see such attention to detail at the hotel and everywhere we went in Millbrae.

The Dylan is a pretty cool motel turned hotel that has been seemingly extensively remodeled. The star deduct is because it has outside hallways like a motel that my spouse didn't like so I had to keep hearing about it and that the walls are thin at times because I could hear my neighbors coughing etc. BUT.. for a night before a flight at SFO, you can't beat the price and the location. The rooms looked great inside and the shower was just right. They fenced in the hotel access points so the only way in is through the lobby. It's walking distance to many restaurants and has free parking. The lobby area is very cool vibey and has free coffee and tea or you can buy wine from the machine. Staff was great.

I was disappointed with my experience at The Dylan Hotel. The water was turned off without any notification to guests. As a female solo traveler, my basic needs for a safe place with access to hot water were not met. When I initially went to the front desk to ask about the situation, no staff were available to assist. Later, when I inquired again, I received a vague response that the water was back on, with no genuine apology or effort to address the inconvenience. This lack of communication and basic service was frustrating and fell far short of expectations. I do not recommend this hotel for travelers.

Hotel is close to a BART station which was good. Nice clean room and friendly staff. But I had a negative experience due to the security charge on my card not being released - I called twice (not fun to do from Australia) being told it was processed and my bank was the problem. After speaking to my bank, I called a third time and thankfully spoke to Marissa, who explained the card release was rejected, was understanding of my frustration and emailed me the paperwork I needed. Give Marissa a raise - she's excellent.
