At First it was an awesome store and friendly. Now it's not diverse and they lack selection of items. Their new workers are rude and prices went up for items smaller than the palm of ones hand. The original personnel were middle Eastern and have great vibe of positive attitude. Now that is Hispanicly managed it's like walking to a grave yard and talking with the undertaker . No emotion always serious. I'm surprised they still have people coming in the store.

They've got a lot of competition locally fresh produce wise, but they hold their own. The difference in a lot of these Latin produce markets is if you go inside and look around. They often have Asian food products cheaper (same brands) than Asian markets. Frozen pupusas & frozen yucca are nice to have around to snack on. Even some "specialty" items, such as Spanish olives stuffed with anchovies can be found once in a while.

I do not have the option to classify myself with zero stars, if the option existed I would not hesitate to do so. The owner of this store conducts illegal surcharge transactions on every customer receipt, stay away from this establishment! (All the workers and the owner of this business charge a surcharge for each sale they make, the reason is to earn more income every day) ... The owner made a lot of money this way (working with scams), these are the types of People who are immigrants and should be out of the country only come to this country to take advantage of others and make fun of you. You'd better buy at the corner of 16 or 17, or somewhere other than here, buy only from honest people.

Open later til 9 pm than other bodegas on Mission street. Great fresh papaya prices. It's organized and clean with friendly owners and workers, but English is a challange for the youngsters. There was organic pasta but sadly no brown rice or organic produce at the mo, according to the owner. Too bad, as I'd shop there exclusively if it carried more organic products and produce.

Update: they have tried to overcharge me, and appear to consider it a game. Best to only buy 1 item, weigh and pre-calculate fruit and produce prices. I now avoid this place unless ready to be vigilent. Tip: you can find some good deals outside on the end in the dollar bags.
