It's sort of like an alternative to Trader Joe's, but for more money. The staff at Trader Joe's are much nicer too. Not that the Gelson's team isn't nice. They're just nicer at Trader Joe's.

Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me!!! What is it with markets trying to deceive the consumer? Bought a package of their almonds, yesterday. Didn't bother to turn the package over. The photos tell the story. A large indent in the bottom roughly 1/2 inch deep in an apparent attempt to fool the consumer into thinging that they were getting more than they thought. Shame on Gelson's!!!

First time at this store, I came here from North Long Beach for Melissa's Roasted HATCH Chilies! The store is very nice, PRICEY but nice. Staff was very friendly as well. I paid for my chilies, got them loaded and another happy camper on the go!
