Really interesting place with unique views and interesting information on the highly specialised wildlife. We had planned a short stop but wished we had allowed for longer. Really enthusiastic volunteer guide was offering telescope views onto nesting chicks plus lots of information. Parking area has vault toilets. America The Beautiful pass accepted.

Great place to visit. Very beautiful! Just see the pictures. The Mono Lake is like a mirror. You can see the reflection. There is a fee unless you have national park annual pass.

If you want to see the tuffas, this is the place. It is a fee area of $6 per person, but was free when we went. If you have a America the Beautiful Nation Park pass, that works here. The 5 minutes easy walk takes you to the water's edge. The lake has risen 8 feet from the wet winter, but the goal is 8 more feet, which would cover most of the tuffas. Go see them before they are gone!

Scenic & legendary site.
We really enjoyed our stop here going from Tonopah to Yosemite on the Tioga road. This site as some very unique geological formation. Not directly on the road but really worth the detour.

The water is Cristal clear and those flies I saw on National Geographic were there in abundance like David Attenborough said they would be πŸ˜‚ the little bushes were in bloom and yellow is my favorite color so it made my walk through this area even more special. The hike is easy and I wish I could have done more. Not enough time in this area. I will

Super fun. Tough drive but the view is worth it. At the beginning of the trail you can find a guide to all of the animals you might encounter. Trail that leads to the water. Be careful of the wooden planks because they’re a little uneven and you’re liable to trip if not paying attention. Other than that, highly recommend.
