A Hidden Gem in the City: My Experience at the Asian Market Ahoo

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting an Asian market that, without exaggeration, is a paradise for anyone who loves variety and cultural culinary delights. From the moment we walked in, my family and I were captivated by the incredible selection of products available. Whether you’re a snack enthusiast, a beauty lover, or someone looking for specific ingredients to prepare authentic Asian dishes, this market has something for everyone.

Unmatched Variety: What stood out the most was the impressive diversity of products offered unique snacks, ranging from chips and cookies to both sweet and savory options. Original beauty products, including facial masks, hair dyes, and makeup. Essential ingredients for Asian cuisine, like ramen, spices, sauces for making sushi to stir-fry. A wide selection of organic grains and low-calorie products, perfect for those following strict diets or seeking healthy options. Drinks and sweets that are hard to find anywhere else. I can’t wait to try, and I can confidently say the quality and flavors are outstanding!

Addressing Quality and Expiration Dates: I want to touch on something I’ve seen mentioned in some reviews of product expiration dates. During our visit, we spent over an hour exploring, and I only noticed two products that were close to their expiration or slightly past it. This can happen in any market, regardless of its reputation or size. With such a vast selection, it would be unfair to judge this store based on one or two items. What matters is that the overall quality of the products is excellent, and the staff is attentive and ready to address any issues.

Membership Perks: We decided to get a membership during our visit, the discounts they offer are fantastic, making every purchase even more worthwhile. Ahoo Market is a A Place to Return To, I wholeheartedly recommend. It’s not just a space where you’ll find authentic and high-quality products; it’s also a gateway to new cultural and culinary experiences. My family and I left happy with our purchases and are already planning our next visit to explore even more options. If you’re looking for variety, great prices, and quality, this market won’t disappoint. Don’t miss the chance to visit and be amazed! Final Note: The staff barely speak English, so please be patient and kind when communicating with them. Overall, everything else is great!

Very cool market with tons of Japanese snacks and products! I stopped here out of curiosity and was very pleasantly surprised at how clean and organized the store is, with tons of variety and imported food, candies, beauty products, and other items they have. I'll definitely be back to try more goodies!

Fantastic Selection and Service

I’ve been to several Asian markets, but Ahoo Market stands out for its impressive variety of snacks and ingredients. From Japanese chips to Korean ramen, they carry everything I crave. The staff is always welcoming and eager to help. I love how organized the store is, making it easy to find exactly what I need. I will definitely be coming back for my snack fix!

BE AWARE BEFORE YOU GO!!!

First of all, speaking of food safety; most of the snacks and cosmetics are EXPIRED or has a month left before the best before date. When I asked the tall guy who supposedly is the store manager, can I get snacks that are NOT EXPIRED because I am concerned about my health. He literally said you know EXPIRED FOOD TASTES BETTER… That’s one way to scare your customers away with that attitude. We went home and the food gave my kids food poisoning for VOMITING AND DIARRHEA, they had to stay home for couple days.

Secondly, don’t know if this place even has proper licensing as I went in couple weeks ago when the temperature was around 110 Degrees (See picture). It shock me that they don’t have AC and light on because they use a backup power generator and obviously that wasn’t enough to support the electricity for the store. The store was like a SAUNA place that I looked like just came back from the gym working out for hours. I bought an SK-II facial essence— it was boiling hot when I got home and use it on my face… I doubt they store any of their snacks or cosmetics properly under this condition.

To say this is my worst shopping experience is an understatement… You are better off going to 99 Ranch or Great Wall Market; at least there’s assurance for quality.

If you enjoy cooking Asian cuisine at home, Ahoo Market is a hidden gem. They have a great variety of Japanese, Korean, and other Asian ingredients that I can’t find elsewhere. Whether you need spices, noodles, or sauces, this store has you covered. The snacks are also top-notch, with so many unique choices to try. Plus, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place!

This supermarket is super convenient! I can stop by on my way home from work, grab a few Japanese snacks and condiments, and I'm good to go. Perfect for those of us with tight schedules but still craving authentic treats!

Wonderful Asian market in Ontario. They have a huge variety Asian snacks, seasoning, sauces, drinks, and other food items. The owner is a lovely man that showed us around and translated some of the items for us. Definitely worth a trip to this market.

I love this store, especially for families who enjoy cooking Japanese dishes at home. They have a great selection of authentic ingredients, and my kids always find new snacks they love. The only downside is the lack of refrigerated items, but it makes shopping simpler, and everything is high quality. It's definitely a regular stop for us!
