A great place to visit and have a little picnic. There is plenty of space to spread out a towel and enjoy the nice view and breeze. It’s got plenty of trees. It’s also a great place to take a bike and ride around . If you are bringing kids it’s a good thing to bring a soccer ball or a football or even a volleyball, there is plenty of space to play there. And in the summer time by the globe they usually open up the sprinklers. Place is clean and have public restrooms. Plus if you forget to bring drinks? No problem. They have people selling drinks that doesn’t cost too much.

Amazing views in this park! Since it is some way outside of Manhattan, it is also considerably less crowded than most tourist spots! Simply take a train from Penn Station and you're there within 30 minutes. Bonus is the US open stadium nearby!

Visited the Unisphere a couple of weeks ago on a trip to Queens. It's definitely bigger than you will expect it to be. Unfortunately, the fountains were not operating but it's still worth the visit to behold this beautiful structure. There was a lot of activity in the area the day we were there. Soccer games, volleyball, and people just having a picnic. Easy to get into the park. Adjacent to the National Tennis Center.
