Definitely a must visit if in central park. It is free to visit to see the great views and take pictures. Very beautiful in the fall with all the trees and leaves in different colors. The castle has a small gift shop at the end. Only bad side is no nearby bathrooms but everything is else great.

***Please give a 👍🏻 if this review helps*** Belvedere Castle is a nice spot to visit if you're in New Yorks famous Central Park. The castle is a nice structure and looks to be in really great condition. The views from the castle are definitely worth the visit and make for some awesome photo opportunities. The Castle sits on the top of a massive boulder, and you can tell as you walk up to the structure as you can clearly see the rock formations. Definitely a must-see if you are in the are.

Fabulous romantic castle or "folly" overlooking Central Park, designed by Calvert Vaux (1824-1895) and Jacob Wrey Mould (1825-1886) in 1867 and beautifully restored in 2019. Breathtaking views of Central Park. The building also contains a nice gift store.

Curious folly in the middle of Central Park built it the 19th Century using a mish mash of medieval building styles. Despite its being quite out of place in the centre of Manhattan it is a major draw for tourists visiting the park
