I have been donating here for close to 15 years, including when they were located in Pleasant hill. Love that it goes to spay, neuter and take care of the Community's feral cats.

Large, well organized space. Good quality items, many good brands on the racks. No "thrift store" smell like other places. Glassware and kitchenware are especially good as many people donate here when they are moving or downsizing.

Free parking and shares a parking lot with a Dunkin Doughnuts and Jersey Mike's so plenty of food options before or after shopping.

I have never had a problem with their customer service but i have noted there have been some changes in staff recently (November 2024) so definitely worth a stop if you like to thrift.

I love that all the proceeds of this thrift store go directly to helping homeless cats in Contra Costa County. Unfortunately, that is the only thing I love about this store. I understand they are at the mercy of their donations. The pricing on certain items is astronomical considering the "quality". The man, which I am assuming manages the store, lacks customer services skills. A couple of women that I encountered at the counter were unaware of their surroundings and continued to have a conversation while I was waiting at the register to check out.

I have been a loyal customer at this thrift store for over 10 years, and I have always been treated with kindness and respect. However, during my visit yesterday, I felt that I was treated differently because of my race. When I brought this up with the staff, they explained that the situation was due to the way one staff member handles merchandise. While I understand that, it can still come across as discriminatory, and I believe it’s important for store policies to be applied consistently by all staff members to ensure everyone feels equally valued and respected.

oh my goodness, this is the most fantastic thrift shop!! The prices are much lower than other thrift shop and the place is huge. Today I went and bought puzzles, brand new hard back books, Christmas ornaments, temptations bakeware and I could go on and on.

A MUST if you like bargains.

I have been donating items there since they opened. Community concern for cats is a county wide effort to help as many kitties in need. I want to give to this location again and again because I love cats and they need to be cared for and loved and found good homes for. Thank you guys for always being there. I’ve moved away, but I’ll always come back.

Most of them were polite... very cute space with cute items. Cashier needs to learn customer service or leave the business 🙂 the gentleman helping her was lovely, she however ruined the experience with unnecessary comments.

We love this thrift store and drive there from Oakland with our items to donate. We usually end up buying a few things before we leave. They accept a much wider range of items and make it easy to drop off donations —essentially any time they are open. Easy to park right near the front door while unloading your car. Volunteers are friendly and I think they do a really good job with their displays. We have adopted three tabby cats over the years from CC4C. As a rescue group, they are wonderful, so we are happy to donate money as well as support the organization with inventory for Rescued Treasures!

(TLDR: They allow some incredibly rude people to work/volunteer here.) After donating and shopping at this location consistently for years I am still in shock with the treatment I received today. The woman accepting donations publicly humiliated me. Let me be very clear: I in no way planned to donate items that broke store policy. I did not maliciously choose items of low quality. I was doing my best. I was trying to do something good. I was under the impression that the items I was providing followed the policy. Yet she took it upon herself to chastise me in the middle of the store, while holding up an item I had brought in. She spoke down to me in an incredibly cruel tone of voice, and took it upon herself to publicly embarrass me. I left immediately and proceeded to cry in my car in the parking lot. This woman should not be treating people, who are only trying their best to support to a local charity, so incredibly rudely. I am left horrified by my experience, and would caution anyone donating/shopping here. I can't imagine I'll feel safe here again anytime soon.
