La Serena Inn was an awesome place to have a 3day weekend.
So close to the beach and all of the main restaurants and shopping areas in town.

The staff was unbelievable with their customer service and doing everything in their power to make my stay and trip a success.

Special thank you to the front desk for helping me with my room sotuation.

I have never had such a great customer service experience before.

We had a great 4-day weekend stay! There was one breakfast monitor who was a bit grouchy (mainly over how to use the waffle station) but other than that, one of our best stays I've ever had in a Morro Bay hotel(and I've been coming here for 44 years). Extremely clean and updated, smelled amazing. Friendly staff. The renovators were extremely courteous, so not sure why people are complaining about that. May be just the luck of where they were at in the process during our stay. The bed did take about the third night to get accustomed to, but not awful. Our bed at home is just super forgiving. We will DEFINITELY stay here again! The value with breakfast included--no one in the area can compete with this place! 🙏🏼

Everything was great! We haven’t stayed there in a few years so the upgrades were a surprise and it looked great! The cleaning staff and Adrianne were amazing! So kind, welcoming, and professional. I would only suggest adding some elevator music and scrambled eggs for the breakfast but other than that, practically perfect. We’ll be returning soon!

We loved our stay! The location is perfect... Walkable to a lot of shops and restaurants. It's all updated and very clean. We loved that the room had a refrigerator with a separate freezer section so we could have ice cream 🙂
The only thing that we didn't like was the mattress... Very squishy and woke me up everytime my husband moved. But literally everything else was great and we'll be coming back for sure!

Very nice hotel. Seemed recently remodeled. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Prices are great. Walking distance from downtown Morro Bay.

Travelled in October 2023 with another couple. Nice motel, clean and comfortable but the town was amazing. Walked out to Morro Rock, lots of sea lions and otters. Beautiful little town, wish we had more than 1 night there. Would love to go back.

Normally La Serena Inn is a great place to stay while in Morro Bay however my most recent stay was less than ideal. The clerk was pleasant and easy to work with, but we waited 20+ minutes for the front desk clerk to come to the counter so that we could check in. ||We stayed at La Serena Inn because normally they have a good breakfast but that was not the case. The oatmeal was very watery, all of the coffee containers were out of coffee, and the food selection was very limited. They had a waffle maker but no eggs or protein (bacon, sausage, ham), no fruit, and no yogurt. Some visitors who were not from the United States didn't know how to use the waffle machine and the attendant saw this and didn't do anything to help them. ||The rooms were clean and equipped with everything that we needed. The beds were pretty worn out and soft but clean. I was also surprised that at exactly 11:00am there was a knock at one of our rooms, the Cleaner looked at her watch and asked if we were leaving, then we got a call at the other room asking if "we needed more time", in other words, are you checking out soon? I realize that checkout is 11:00am and if I stay here again, I will definitely ensure that I checkout prior to 11:00am as there is no grace period given. Funny, I didn't complain when we had to wait 20+ minutes to check in but they were quick to get us checked out.

All was good at La Serena Inn. Great location (easy walk to town or to the Embarcadero for food and shopping or walking out to Morro rock) place was very clean. Room was spacious and comfortable. Would be nice to have a hook or two to hang towels in the tub/shower area. Continental breakfast included 7:30-9:30. I felt they could’ve had a little better selection ( add bagels and an additional cereal selection possibly) they no longer have scrambled eggs & sausage - only hard boiled eggs, waffles, oatmeal, cereal and some baked options. It was typical of a free breakfast. We ate there one day and the other walked to The Hungry Fisherman for breakfast ( it was delicious). We will definitely stay here again. Staff was friendly and we felt safe there.
