Beautiful plants outside with so many varieties to choose from. Of course had to make sure to stop inside and get some of my favorites goodies! Their chicken salad is the best. I will happily be snacking on it the next few days with their awesome homemade pita chips. If you are from out of town stop by and get some yummy food, you won't regret it! Shop local 💚

My husband and I are from the devastated area of western North Carolina. We haven’t had water to our home in months. My cousin offered a place for us to stay and we have been blessed. Friendly market was a great recommendation for us and we have enjoyed many of the offerings. We found out they were making a Thanksgiving dinner for two and ordered it right away. Today November 18 we found out we now have water to our home and plan to leave as soon as possible to go home. I was hoping I would be able to cancel my order for thanksgiving. I was told no. As you can imagine money is very tight. Trees down all around us. I still want to be home. Everyone has been so kind and wonderful here.

We always cook big for Thanksgiving but this year we ordered the dinner for 6. We will never cook for the holidays again. The food was awesome and plentiful. Best turkey I have ever had. These people do a phenomenal job!

The selection of unique and delicious foods, snacks and prepared meals is almost unbelievable. I don't think I have ever been disappointed. Try the chicken salad with dill, shrimp and grits ready for the oven, homemade chips and cheese straws. Try something new. I think you'll like it.

My wife and I stopped by here after the North Carolina Seafood Festival and just loved the place! The staff was wonderful, kind, and generous! They had a great selection of produce and plants. The pumpkin patch was amazing too. Pumpkins and gourds of all sizes, coupled with fabulous mums and other nursery plants made for a great sight to see. We walked away with a few of those items ourselves. The inside of the shop is just as amazing with locally made foods/desserts and pre-made dinners from the clean kitchen in the back. Fantastic place to stop and see!

Never pass up a chance to get some food to take home at The Friendly Market in Morehead City, NC. The tomato pie is my favorite of all time along with the chicken salad. The Blue Collard dip is wonderful as is the Shrimp Scampi Dip and Crab Dip. Take home Shrimp and Grits and eat for a week! Everything is packaged so nicely and easy to access within the store.
