First time at a Potbelly Sandwich Shop! We were super hungry while exploring Chicago,
So we stopped in for a bite!

Our party got the Avo Turkey & The Mediterranean in the Skinny size with a side of Broccoli and Cheddar Soup & The Steakhouse Beef in the original size.

The portions are big, even the skinny sandwich was big for me. I had the Mediterranean and swapped my soup with a family member for some Zapps BBQ chips, and I was a happy camper, flavor was good and as a fan of spicy, my spicy needs were met.

I did have the chance to try the Hot Peppers and boy are they HOT.

Overall nice stop 🙂

We went to the potbelly restaurant today and had a bad experience. One restroom was out of service and the other was dirty. The atmosphere was also unpleasant. It was extremely hot and due to this the employee was sweaty. The only employee there who was making the sandwich and was also the cashier at the same time wasn’t professional to me. He was very short and dry with costumers. Our table wasn’t clean. It was sticky and had food and debris on it. The restaurant was also out of tomato.

The experience here is the worst in entire in my life. They gave me the horrible service. They didn’t give me any info for the order. When I tried to order to shake, I experienced their scrims, sighs, and nervous attitudes. They weren’t busy In that space, I was nervous and unpleasant. If you have to eat the same food, I hope you don‘t visit here.

The guy was not at all interested in making that sandwich or taking the order. When he did take the order it was the most disgusting sandwich I ever had. He had put all toppings on one side of the sandwich and other side was overloaded with mustard sauce which I didn’t even asked for.

I am done with potbelly now, it used to be one of my favorite places.

There was only one lady working yesterday and not only my Mediterranean Sandwich was a joke (only few pieces of chicken, very few hummus) it was mostly bread. I didn’t say anything to her because she was so stressed and treating other costumers poorly that I didn’t want to waist my energy. It was a joke to spend my money yesterday with a very low quality service

My friend and I came in on what seemed like a a slow Sunday but there was a little lunch rush. Dominique handled the line so well. Zero stress, pleasant attitude, she was super sweet and helpful!!

Absolutely atrocious service. We sat for over an hour passed the "ready by" time. We waited partially because they were a little busy and mostly because we tried repeatedly to get someone's attention but was constantly ignored. Finally we walked through the exit and cut in front of the current person to ask what was going on. They simply "forgot all about it". And then had us wait for another few people before they would look for our order again. Never going back to this location again.

I tried to send customer service an email to avoid writing a bad review and also since I noticed that potbelly was responding to the bad reviews asking them to send them an email regarding peoples bad experience. I sent a detailed message on April 28th and has yet to receive a response back. Yes, it has been a while but as much as I frequent there and as many times as my order has been incorrect, I should get some kind of acknowledgement. In fact, although it is almost a month later and the wrong sandwich that they gave me is still in the fridge at work (I know, gross) but I put it in there just in case I got a response and they wanted me to take it back or something ( just being considerate).
The email I sent is below and I also attached a picture in the email of the completely wrong sandwich they gave me, which screwed my entire lunch up.

I went to the location at 200 S Michigan in Chicago. I always go get my lunch on my break because they’re closed before I take my lunch. This is the second time I go to eat my lunch and my order is incorrect and they’re closed and I can’t take it back and I can’t eat. I will give them credit because the first time, I just kept the sandwich and took it back the next day and they replaced it with the correct one. The first time I ordered a tuna sandwich and she added mustard and oil to it and I don’t like them and I didn’t ask for them. This time I ordered the same thing, a tuna sandwich, I go to lunch a couple hours later and I don’t even have a tuna sandwich, it’s chicken salad which I’m not too fond of at all. The thing is, I’m off the next two days and I don’t return to work until Saturday and I don’t have the receipt. But It does show on my bank transactions. I’m very understanding when it comes to making a mistake. But this is the second time that my lunch is ruined and I can’t eat. If I have to return on Saturday to to get another sandwich, I will but I don’t want any kickback. And I feel since this is the second time with me being inconvenienced, I sincerely feel as though I deserve some type of compensation because this is absolutely unacceptable, especially when you haven’t ate all day. There is a picture attached showing that my sandwich is clearly chicken salad opposed to the tuna that I actually ordered.

Thanks in advance
