I recently visited the Chicago Skydeck and had a fantastic experience, but I’d recommend being mindful when purchasing tickets. I bought mine online in advance for $53, only to find out that the price at the Skydeck was $48. It’s better to buy the tickets on-site to save a few bucks.

The best time to visit is around 6 PM. This allows you to enjoy both the day and night views—witnessing the city in daylight and then transforming into a sea of sparkling lights after sunset. The highlight of the experience is definitely getting photos clicked on the glass ledge at the 103rd floor. However, be prepared to wait for 20-30 minutes in the queue for your turn.

To make the most of it, I went twice—once before sunset and once after—to capture the contrasting views. It was absolutely worth it. The panoramic cityscape and the thrilling feeling of standing on the glass shelf made it a memorable experience. Highly recommend it!

Nice views of Chicago , you can walk right around and get a 360 view and for some distance.

There was a small queue at the top to stand on the glass floors, but they have timers to make sure that it keeps moving and you can go around again and join the queue.

The lift up was quick and the attractions and history leading up to the lifts are great.

We were eager to visit this location, as its beauty and stunning views were truly remarkable. However, we were disappointed by the ticketing process. The venue advertises lower-priced tickets online, but when attempting to purchase them, we discovered that the advertised time slots were unavailable, requiring us to buy tickets on-site instead. The online price for a group of five was $138, whereas the on-site price was significantly higher at $195. When we inquired about this discrepancy, the staff explained that the online tickets were offered by a third-party website and that they could not guarantee those prices. This lack of clarity in pricing was frustrating and detracted from an otherwise picturesque experience.

Amazing place. Sunset is more beautiful. Lake Michigan is waiting for you with spectacular views. If you book evening time, you can view beautiful Chicago night lights.

At first I thought the price was too much bc honestly I didn't know much about this experience, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is a bit of history, a few photo ops, and a whole room full of views and memorabilia you can purchase. The decks themselves are super cool, but the 90 second limit on them is super tight, so have your poses ready ahead of time 😂 we unfortunately didn't consider the time we went and happened to have a little too much sunlight (why are they west facing) so definitely consider that when you go. The photo they sell you is pretty pricey, but you're already paying for the experience so might as well... Don't get the expedited ticket, just wait in line ... But besides that! Have fun!! 😊

Chicago is a fantastic city brimming with amazing things to discover, from its rich history to its delicious food and vibrant entertainment scene! The view from the Skydeck is absolutely breathtaking, and you simply can't miss capturing that unforgettable photo from the edge. It's a joyful experience that’ll leave you with incredible memories!

This was such a fun experience. My sisters and I got some great shots, the views are amazing! You get 90sec in the bay but can go back in line as many times as you want.
They have multiple ways so the wait isn't very long.

Beautiful place. I loved that the entrance is designed like a museum where you can learn about Chicago’s history and gastronomy. Once you reach the observation deck, you get an amazing 360° view of the city. It’s stunning both during the day and at night. We went at sunset and stayed until nightfall to take photos in ‘The Ledge.’ A staff member helped us with the pictures, so we got some great group shots. An unforgettable experience.
