One star is too many. Very rude customer service. Shopped there for a while, but the service kept getting worse and worse. I will never go there again.

I bought sunglasses here that they told me were the same as the ones I had. They were not, and did not fit the same. It actually states it on the Costa website.

I went to exchange them and they would not. The glasses were brand new in the box. The sales people were very rude.

There are plenty of other great options in the area.

If you want similar stuff go to EJW Outdoors, or the shops on Front St in Beaufort.

Absolutely horrid customer service. Drove down to purchase a few pair of On Cloud shoes. Stood by the shoes while multiple people walked by, at least 6, without even acknowledging us or asking if we needed any help. Finally had to ask the cashier if she could get anyone to help us and she rudely did so. It’s a shame to be treated so poorly when planning on making large purchases.

I have never experienced such rude behavior from sales associates. Between them eyeing us the entire time like we were criminals to the cashier not saying a single word to us, I wish I had not even completed my purchase. I’ve never been treated so poorly by staff. Honestly, every single employee from the time we walked in to the time we left, not once asked if we needed help but followed us around. I will never shop at AB again and I will make sure I tell everyone I know how disappointed I am. I have been shopping there since the 90s with my parents but after today’s experience, I will never go back. So much for family surf shop with cool finds and goods for the locals. Do better and teach your little employees some class.

I've been in AB Surf Shop maybe 3 times over the past several years because I'm not much of a beach person. But since I have a boat now I wanted to get some nice swim trunks, shorts, and shirts. I drove 83 miles to ABSS because I know they have good quality clothing. Sadly today was my last visit. My brother and I got attitudes when we asked about where the dressing room was by two workers. And checking out was a real pleasant experience also as I felt like a burden to the cashier. I guess you have to spend more than $211.00 to be appreciated.

I would not recommend shopping here. The salespeople acted as though they wanted to be anywhere other than at the shop helping customers. I asked a few questions about some sunglasses and barely got more than a 1 word response. I finally gave up and went elsewhere. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I won't be giving them another shot.

LOVE this store!!! I needed to find some cloths for an up coming vacation and the staff was so kind and helpful…!!! I also bought a watch and took forever to choose but they were so patient!!! Will definitely be returning to AB surf shop!!!

I like this store and they have a lot of cool stuff. I have been going here for many many years. I have purchased clothes, surfboards, shoes and sunglasses from this store and have been very satisfied with everything I’ve purchased. I will have to agree with some of the other reviewers that certain staff Is unfriendly and unappreciative of my business. I took away a star because I bought and Shibumi and some Maui Jim sunglasses that totaled close to $600. I ask the female at checkout could I have a little AB sticker to put on car. She looked at me like I was crazy! Free advertising after I just spent $600!! I don’t appreciate it! Think about it! Not the only surf shop in town.

Beautiful store. Best on the beach. Lovely staff! Friendliest and most knowledgeable sales associates. Found everything that I needed! They have wonderful things. Definitely stop by!
