Chased the Sun, Found a Gem!

Michigan’s cold had us packing up the dog and heading south—and we’re so glad we did! We stumbled upon Atlantis, a pet-friendly stay in the heart of North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, and it turned out to be a hidden gem.

We booked the Large Suite—highly recommend it! It’s oceanfront, spacious, and felt like our own little home away from home. The owners and staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. What was supposed to be a quick stop turned into an extended stay thanks to their hospitality and a lucky last-minute opening.

Best part? Our pup was in absolute heaven. We’ll definitely be back!

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel! Stayed early April and it was amazing. Beautiful view from your room and very dog friendly! Water bowls and a washing station for your best friend. Ask about senior discounts. This is my Brodie.

Whether it's just my husband and I, or with large groups of friends, we unwind, recharge and thoroughly enjoy our time at Atlantis Lodge and the surrounding communities. We typically go for a week at a time 2-3 times a year. It's never been anything but a wonderful experience and we usually run into other "regulars" who have become friends. It being so pet friendly is another perk that makes it our go-to getaway!
We have made many friends avid fans after their 1st visit! The staff is always so accommodating of our ever growing group size and make it easy for us to reup for same time next year. I cannot praise the owners enough for preserving this unique perfection in a such a charming coastal region.

This has been my home away from home since 2009. All the rooms are amazing. The views from the 2nd and 3rd floor are beautiful
Obviously the view won't be as nice on the 1st floor but you can still hear the ocean. I love seeing all the guests and the fur babies. And there are so many amenities. And the heated pool is gorgeous and kind of reminds me of that move the blue lagoon. I haven't taken my fur babies yet. Hopefully soon. And I absolutely love that it was built around all the nature,instead of destroying everything to build it. It's definitely my slice of paradise! See you soon!!!!

Such a gem! Walk back into time with this amazing lodge. So very meticulously cared for. The grounds are amazing. The pool was so fun and hidden among the vegetation that you felt like you were in Florida. Rooms were adequate and well maintained. We already can't wait to return.

We have found our GROOVE! Atlantis Lodge is a 60's vibe beach hotel that totally fits us. Beautiful ocean view from our room, going to sleep with the sound of surf outside, it doesn't get any better than this. We are definitely coming back.

Originally built in the 1960’s has maintained much of the style but updated amenities and is a family favorite including the fur babies (Sadie and Bandit) of course. May be ranked two stars but don’t believe it, it is five star for those who love the beach, nature, and great staff. Dog treats instead of chocolates on the pillows says it all.
