Hands down BEST coffee in Asheville. I’ve been working from a new coffee almost every day the past few weeks and High Five (and specifically the Riverside location) takes the trophy. I had some seasonal drink that I can’t remember now but it was DELICIOUS. Their trademark apparently is sweet and salty drinks which I LOVE. Want to come back and try a popular specialty: The Weather Report. The egg/cheese muffin was great too! And the shirts with the high five and different pawsss, C’MON!

Also this location is right by the river, has plenty of room to sit outside (and inside also) and has dogs roaming free and is also super dog friendly if you bring your pup along. Doesn’t get better than this. A must if in town.

Our friend we stayed with lives right around the corner from this spot, and it is such a cool location!!! Right on the river with loads of parking and a fair bit of seating. Great place for a picnic. Plus, super dog friendly!! Be sure to check out their drink specials.

We love High Five Coffee! This location is so fantastic. The employees are always so nice to us and especially welcoming to my dog. I get a lemonade or some fruit drink while my better half leans into the iced coffee or hibiscus peppermint tea. Amazing place with such a great vibe on the river. Everyone is always enjoying themselves so much. Bring a blanket to chill or utilize the many picnic benches and tables and chairs lining the river they provide. This is a fun place to be at any time of day with great people watching and relaxing time. We love you, High Five Coffee!

Perfect spot for coffee on a weekend morning, or a nice place to hang out and get some work done if you’re a local. It’s a weird area, so we ended up parking at the Woodfin Park down the road and walking the short trail to the shop. Cool little location directly on the river in a small shed. Filled with merch and coffee making equipment, they cram it into this spot. All the offerings you come to expect from a coffee shop and more / large unique espresso drink menu as well as drip and tea offerings. They’ve got a few food options too but didn’t get any so can’t speak to that. Great original specials menu, we got a cinnamon latte and tried a golden milk. Everything we had was made well and not overly flavored. The real draw of this spot is the riverfront though, even if that’s not rare in Asheville. We spent a morning hanging out in some Adirondacks right on the water, and seating isn’t really lacking so you’ve got a pretty good chance of grabbing a good spot for a drink or two. Perfect coffee joint - we’ll be back.

Great place to kick off your shoes outside and read or work. Plentiful seating along the Broad. Coffee and pastries were unique and good quality.

I love this place so much. It was the only coffee shop I would go to and hang out at for long hours. Does anyone know if they plan to reopen after the storm?

Strange location, cute local dog. Good food! Had the veggie hummus sandwich and the blueberry cinnamon bar, both were great! Coffee was amazing, the cesspool of cinnamon was excellent, both iced and hot! Beautiful location on the water.

You’ll never regret trying their ‘Spicy Mocha’ and their location by the river! Best place to have your ‘me’ time and read a book. Try their seasonals in drinks.
