I surprised my husband with an overnight stay here for his 35th birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful, the personal touches like the complementary box of chocolates and departing gift bag were incredibly thoughtful, and the included breakfast was delicious (highly recommend the spinach quiche!).|We will be back- thanks for the exceptional hospitality Tomi, Steven. 10/10 recommend!

I just stayed at the Mercersburg Inn for one night on my way down south for a wedding. The Inn is a beautiful historic building. The stairway in the entrance is something else. The outside looked very lovely, but I didn't get much chance to walk around as unfortunately the weather was extremely cold.

The room and bed were comfortable, and I thought nicely decorated and what I expected from the photos on the website. I saw other reviews criticizing decor, and if you are looking for a swanky all white modern room, that is not what is at this Inn. I enjoyed the history of it and could imagine the people who lived there in the past. All the people working there were very pleasant to me. I ate dinner at the restaurant and breakfast in the morning, and everything was delicious. I was super happy with my stay, and if I ever am traveling in the area, I would stay again.

I stayed at the inn to be close to Whitetail Ski Resort. The Garden Room is suitable for a solo traveler, and the sitting rooms on the first floor are charming. I enjoyed very good meals there (dinner, breakfast). The staff people were friendly, helpful, and professional. I would stay there - and eat there - again without hesitation.

My wife and I stayed here for Valentineโ€™s weekend and overall did not leave with a favorable impression. The staff was gracious and seemed to make every effort possible to accommodate, yet the place still felt empty and slightly overpriced. My biggest concern is that they have limited electrical capacity which is easily overloaded, and the power went out twice in our room during our stay. Since the staff leaves at 9:00 PM, we were on our own to find the fuse box and flip the breakers.

The mansion itself is grand and well-decorated with high-vaulted ceilings and majestic fireplaces, but the rooms are lacking many amenities like central heat/AC, a television, or basic counter space. The walls were also paper-thin so you will absolutely hear conversations in the adjacent rooms.

I think there was a missed opportunity to enhance the common spaces like the downstairs game room and two lavish living rooms with some music and actually lighting the fireplaces. Those would have given it a more grand and noble feeling.

My husband and I stayed at the inn, and it was absolutely incredible. The inn was peaceful, and the view was great. The food was the best, and the Innkeepers (Tomi and Steven) helped me surprise my husband with a cake and the even prepared flowers for us. Honestly, I had high hopes for this trip since it was out honeymoon and birthday, and they definitely delivered. I would highly recommend this place.

Second time here. We were once again cycling The Western Maryland Rail Trail. This beautiful inn is just over the border in PA. Lovely place. This time we had room 10 on the 3rd floor. Beautiful room with period furniture and very comfy bed. Tomi, the innkeeper graciously let us store our bikes in the back hall. The location is also perfect to ski at Whietail so this will be our โ€œ go toโ€ for ski season.|Had dinner in Byronโ€™s dining room which was every bit as good as our first experience. They even made me a gluten free waffle at breakfast.|Ramsey was our server at breakfast. A sweetheart.|Lots of fun playing pool in the game room after dinner.

HIDDEN GEM! Absolutely stunning property. A true Georgian house. The past owners will be proud. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Inn keeper very nice and helpful. Clean and well managed.
Breakfast is great! dinner can be improved. Lacks flavor unfortunately. They have a great menu French menu and unfortunately needs a lot of help. I am a chef and would suggest sticking to old classical american food like their breakfast. Take the Escargot off ( its not fresh ). This place is sooooo beautiful and I would go visit again.

The Mercersburg inn is a special place. I was traveling in the area and decided to try out this inn. I had heard somethings about the inn, and that it was a nice relaxing place to get away. I was not disappointed, and enjoyed many of the aspects of the inn. To start with, the architecture was amazing. the building was built in the 1900s and has a unique charm that is rarely seen today. The duel staircase is an masterful achievement of design. The multiple balconies on the property truly add to its beauty and charm. The accommodations were excellent. I had a very comfortable bed and was surprised by little amenities such as a robe, bottled water and cookies upon arrival. The owners do a great job in making their guests feel at home. I also had a wonderful breakfast of fresh coffee, cake, and a Belgian waffle. The overall experience as excellent and I would certainly recommend this inn to anyone who would like a nice little escape.|Steven
