I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Country Corner Gas Station to inform others. As a one-time customer, I encountered a significant issue: my debit card information was apparently compromised following a single transaction at this establishment.

My situation was unique – I hadn't used my debit card for years and only resorted to it at this gas station due to the urgency of filling up before a hurricane. It was a decision I regret, as I soon discovered unauthorized activities linked directly to that one use. The evidence was clear in my bank statements, confirming no prior or subsequent use of the card.

Upon confronting the staff about this serious matter, their response was dismissive, insisting such a breach couldn't occur there. This reaction was disappointing and alarming, showing a lack of concern for customer security and no initiative to investigate or address the potential problem.

I've since moved away, but the incident left a lasting impression. I believe it's important for potential customers to be aware of this risk. If you do choose to visit Country Corner Gas Station, I strongly advise using cash to avoid any risks associated with card transactions. This little store epitomizes "small town corner store". Once upon a time, it really WAS the only gas station or convenience store for many miles. Over the last two decades, Saraland has seen some incredible growth, and Kali-Oka Road is certainly not exempt from that. Yet the Country Corner is still there; not too far away now ARE enormous 10, 20 pump gas stations with built-in restaurants and a ton of amenities. Yet the Country Corner continues to thrive for several reasons: loyalty. There are teenagers pumping gas there who's grandparents pumped their gas there. Convenience. Even though there are the massive gas stations right around the corner, the CC is smack dab in the middle of Kali-Oka. And the folks who work there are ALWAYS beyond nice. The CC is almost like a "throwback" to old corner stores.
