Dunham's Sports - State College, Pennsylvania

It’s 8:18 PM and the store clearly closes at 9 PM. That’s 40 minutes before closing, yet the staff had already locked the entrance to the mall lobby and kept telling me “the mall is closed” — which is a lie. I literally walked into the next mall entrance and it was fully open.

As a result, I had to walk outside in the dark, carrying shopping bags, just to get to my car on the other side of the building. That’s completely unacceptable.

Why is the Dunham’s Sports staff so ignorant and unhelpful? Is basic courtesy and customer service no longer required? If you don’t want customers in your store past 8 PM, maybe change your hours instead of misleading people and forcing them to take inconvenient routes.

Dunham’s Sports offers all sports-related items at the lowest prices. The store is very clean, and its well-organized layout makes finding what you need easy. A great place for budget-friendly sports gear.

I recently went to Dunham's to look for Xmas items listed in the sales flier. I was approached by salesperson, Penny. She was extremely helpful, pointed out items she purchased that were also very useful, helped contact other stores for inventory and helped me select what was best for my needs.

I advise that anyone offered an interview by this establishment should reject it as it will be a waste of your time.

I was called by one person but when I got there a different individual was performing the interview. The interviewer had no idea why I had been brought in or even what role I was interviewing for.

They offered me a lower role upon arriving.

This is known in the interview industry as a bait and switch tactic. There is this thing called cognitive dissonance, it’s when your brain tries to justify the time you already spent on a task to justify that the task was not a waste of your time.

These Interviewers RELY on you not knowing this, hoping they can convince you to take a lesser role for lesser pay (promising they can promote you later)

This tactic is emotionally manipulative.

Stopped in today and Eric was very friendly and super helpful. Really appreciated his patience and great attitude, and Cody was helpful as well when I had questions over the phone. This store has a great team and will definitely get you what you need.

This place has some things , sure. But lowsy employees. Unhelpful. Always. Every time I go. Cant find anyone, knowledgless people, . Last experience was looking for a rifle for my son. Most popular brand name, didnt have it, couldnt help. No resolution. Just an all out flop of a store. Try to call sometime. Youll be on hold when the arent busy at all. Or the line will be busy all dan day.

POOR! Customer service does not exist. I have gone to this location multiple times, literally yelled "help or hello" and nobody around. I can never try on clothing because the dressing room is locked and I not a single employee in sight. If you go to this location, don't expect any help. Only 1 person at the register.

The prices are too high here in the selection is terrible. I don't recommend this place to anybody looking for sporting goods. Go there before you would go to Walmart to buy some of the stuff they offer. Walmart sucks big time.
