I have been a customer of Rainbow Music for many many years and is the first place I go to for my musical needs. I have purchased various guitars, amps and accessories with confidence and I always have received great service. Bill really knows guitars and music and I always enjoy having a conversation with him. Highly recommend.

Stay away from this store. There are some nice guitars that show up, which can be tempting, but the owner is not professional. I was working on a trade with him and he told me what he valued my trade at. I told him what guitar I wanted and he said “no, I need cash for that one”. The owner then offered to take my trade plus some cash; I accepted his offer, then he said he no longer wanted to make that deal and he needed more cash. Also wanted to mention most of the guitars are still dirty and have not been cleaned and come with old (sometimes corroded) strings. There are plenty of other music stores out there, I plan to support them instead of this store.

I have shopped at Rainbow for many years and have always loved this shop. I went to the Bellefonte shop today for the first time and was blown away! Same DNA of the old shop with just the good stuff. Bill is an amazing guy with an unparalleled knowledge of guitars. I could not recommend more highly!

I was so happy to see that Rainbow didn't close, but had reopened over in Bellefonte. I was pleasantly surprised on the size of the space and the scale of the stock. He has a great mix from high end equipment, well priced mid range and entry level. But, also a nice array of quality used equipment. The owner is very knowledgeable and genuinely wants people to get the right equipment for a good deal. This is the place to actually try your equipment first instead of buying it online!

Great store and owner. The collection and array of instruments is A+. I met Bill when I bought a Les Paul last year. Today he hooked me up with a modded effects pedal. He is astute and knowledgeable about all things guitar and business. Check out his social media pages on Facebook and IG and website for regular inventory additions, hours of operation and guitar show schedule(s). The new location in Bellefonte does not disappoint.

I’m surprised by the old, negative reviews. They do not reflect the experience I had- maybe things have really turned around with the reopening. I went to the newly opened store in Bellefonte and had a great experience. The proprietor has done a great job of converting the space into a cool music shop. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of guitars, amps, and accessories for a small business that had closed due to the pandemic. I thought things were reasonably priced and received great service from the owner. Well worth a visit for the serious musician looking to support local businesses.

Wow, lots to see. The owner is very knowledgeable. He sells quality guitars, and the prices are good. My husband and step-son would live there, if they could. We've purchased 2 guitars so far. I see more in the future.

Update: went to new Bellefonte location. Purchased another guitar.
