The younger deli workers, one in particular, have cultivated an of environment of verbal abuse against customers and I can see how it affects the more junior employees who are now taking their negativity out on custmers as well. I forgive these guys but I won't take on their darkness and I won't return any more because I respect myself. -A decades long customer.

I would give a zero if I could. The food is overpriced, but good. However, the people that work the deli counter and check-out are the rudest I have ever encountered. This has been my experience over the last couple years. I can’t answer why I continue to go back, but maybe this is the last straw. The workers treat you like an inconvenience when shopping here; like they are bothered by a customers order. Avoid if you can.

I travel from Chester County to go and get incredibly delicious authentic food. The staff has always treated me like family. I lived up the street on Hearts Lane and moved 6 years ago and I can't find a place like this Market. The Liciousos rolls are definitely delicious & South Philly style. They have the best bakery in town. They definitely make you feel the love.

The prepared food is fresh and full of flavor, a real time saver. I hope they go back to their full salad bar. Also, enjoy their Wednesday pasta night. A little pricey but worth it. The servers behind the counter could be friendlier and not act like their annoyed when you order more than one item. It would be nice if their staffs customer service was in line with their prices.

Great deli, great beer & ale, sweet stuffs, better than many with seafood. In & Out. I've been 3x so far. Only probs are it is heavy on expensive,. ..plus NO food stamps . I don't use them, but All good stores should. It's a question of neighborhood wellness, IMO.

I seriously love this place. All of their prepped food from their deli is excellent. We've gotten sushi, hoagies, breakfast sandwiches, etc and have never been disappointed. Great produce too, although a little on the pricier side I've always noticed things are consistently fresher than your typical chain grocery stores. The deli & bakery staff is always extremely helpful as well.

One of the staff members the other day was already clocked out (had her backpack on and was walking out with her car keys in hand) but saw I was struggling to pick out a cake. She happily stopped without me asking and helped me for the 10 minutes it took me to decide.

On the flip side, I wish I could say the same for one of the cashiers. Many times Ive been at the cash register and have felt uncomfortable by their interactions. Completely silent, ignoring me, and giving me a dirty look for asking for paper instead of plastic. Usually that doesn't bother me, but with the frequency of visits I take there I figured by now the terms would be a little friendlier.
