Love shopping here, a bit more expensive than the big box stores, but take into consideration that to save a couple bucks you would have to waste time and gas to travel. Also, the big stores can't touch M&S customer service and care. Always friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. Always my go to place for nearly everything I could need .
Update: since the pandemic and now the high gas prices, it makes even better sense to shop locally! The price begins to even out if you only need a couple of items for your home repair projects. The nearest big box stores are 14 or so miles away.
Still love the friendly and helpful staff and services they offer.

Drove 40 minutes to pick up a lawnmower part hubby could not get anywhere else. At the time of the order he had a very helpful person on the phone. Time of pick up we were running late before closing and the person on the phone kindly said they would wait for us - he loved the store, so many brand names that he loves, picked up a part for something else he forgot about. He wished he had more time to look around.

I usually hate local hardware stores. They’re almost always over priced. This local hardware store is amazing though. The 10 items I needed were a lot cheaper here than running all the way to Lowe’s. That’s really weird but great. I already knew what I needed but the guy that worked there was able to confirm everything I needed since he was an actual 30 year professional plumber before working there people that work at Home Depot and Lowe’s. Can’t even tell you where the bathrooms at.
Ahhh and all the Milwaukee !!!!

We are so lucky to have this business in our town ! I went there to get an adaptor for a pipe, took the pipe with me . Glenn I think was his name , helped me so much and even cut the pipe I needed ( which he really did not have to do ) ! Was no trouble for him and was so personable !!
Please Tamaqua - support this business !
I have gone to Lowes on several occasions because it’s on my way and couldn’t even get someone to wait on me - no more !!

Great customer service. A young lady with red hair along with a young man were able to help me find a type of glue that suited my exact needs for my pool pump. Very knowledgeable in the products and excellent personalities.

Go somewhere else! A mower service for $250 and they didn’t even clean the mower deck as asked. Unbelievable! Shop local!! Lolol!!

The cashier had an issue with a void today, guy that helped her from the back needs to learn how to talk to employees infront of customers. Cause all that nonsense you said to her infant of us she had to apologize for I'm sure after you walked back to your office. Next time it may be the entire line that walks out not just me.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Yes, you will pay more than a big box store, but have you ever asked for help at those stores? They are a family owned and operated business who help in support projects in our community. When you shop local, you support your local economy. It would be nice to see more people recognize these values and shop here instead of the big box stores.
