This hidden gem of State College is a fantastic find for those looking for authentic Cuban coffee. Though it is located in the State College airport, the first two hours of parking is free. In addition to the coffee, the South American themed empanadas are amazing. Check this place out; you will not be disappointed, and you’ll want to return again and again.

I'm a frequent customer and the team at Penn Valley is amazing. Wonderful people, incredible customer service, freshest ingredients, delicious food and fantastic coffee/espresso bar. The owner Francisco truly knows how to make any specialty coffee drink with his professional Italian espresso machine, which is always gleaming as he keeps it super clean and tuned, as a barista should. The best roasted coffee beans are sourced and ground on demand for the most flavorful coffee. His wife and co-owner, Alicia, prepares such amazing food made on premises...authentic! Empanadas, Cuban sandwich, Caprese Panino, avocado toast and much more. The cafe incorporates a speciality store with all sorts of food items, many imported items (such as farm-sources chocolate from Ecuador, European specialties, even genuine handmade Alpaca wool clothing items from Ecuador and Penn State attire. The owners Francisco and Alicia are a wonderful family and the absolute nicest people. I order food here even when I'm not flying. A true gem. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing experience while waiting for a delayed plane. Omelettes were fresh and hot, smoothies were loaded with good stuff, and the staff was friendly and warm.

We’ll be back with our grandchildren to make it a fun outing! Watch the planes and get ice cream because parking is free for 2 hours!

Our fight was delayed then canceled on Jan 16th. We bought food from here and the girl working was so unfriendly and acted like she hated her job unfortunately this is the only food establishment in the airport. So two days later when we came back a man was there. I was going to order coffee but I felt I didn't have time to drink it. Plus I didn't want to pay .50 cents for each additional pump not including whatever else I wanted. He was not happy when I canceled my orders. I came back and bought two cold drinks and asked If we could have a fork to eat the food we purchased from a restaurant the night before we didn't want to waste it our carry it all day. He looked at me like I lost my mind. First of all I purchased from him twice because I told him I did and he can't give me a form. So I commented on it and he said we'll everything is so expensive. So my daughter and I shared one fork. So I asked if he was the owner and he said yes so I bet that unfriendly girl was probably his daughter. Also when I ordered my food on Sunday there were barley and ingredients in there. Not the same amount from when I flew through in July. I will never ever go there again and be treated so rudely. Make sure you have eaten before you get to the airport.

The sweetest little shop in the smallest airport.
The woman working and her daughter were incredibly kind.
The cuban panini was delicious, as was the italian sub. The shop has a good variety of snacks, as well as little travel items.
And considering it’s an airport, the prices are extremely reasonable. Definitely make a stop here if you find yourself at this little airport!
