I have to give Avant Garden a shout out for their excellent customer service. I called them to have a bouquet delivered same day. The gentleman informed me that they were incredibly busy that day due to a huge order they needed to deliver and it was unlikely they could deliver my order the same day. After I told him the bouquet was for someone that was having a rough time and I wanted to cheer them up, he said "no worries I promise I will make sure I get to them today"!
All I told him was what kind of flowers the person liked and he made a beautiful bouquet that exceeded my expectations, delivered within an hour and at a reasonable price! I couldn't be happier with the whole experience and will definitely use them again! Customer service at its best!

I've gone 3 separate times for different small bouquets, and they have all turned out wonderful.
These all range from $15 to $20, but you could get one for even less if needed. You can ask for certain colors/themes or just specific flowers; whatever you're looking for, you're bound to get & within your price range!
Very much recommend this place!

Have to give a shout-out to Avant Garden in Calder Way, State College, PA. I walked-in late Tuesday morning needing a flower arrangement. All I said was that it needed to be white flowers. I went to pick it up a few hours later, on the same day, to find this masterpiece! The staff is amazing, friendly, and crazy talented!

I've used Avant Garden a few times and have been very happy. I recently called (from Florida) to send an arrangement to my sister. My request was for the flowers to be modern, stylish with a little funky added in. Avant Garden delivered! I am so happy, and so is my sister. Thank you! While I was disappointed at the quality of flowers I received, I write this review now to reflect more about the appalling attitude and rudeness of the customer service here. I try my best to "buy local" and support smaller businesses, so I ordered directly through Avant Garden, rather than through a larger corporate network like 1800Flowers or FTD. It pains me to have to give a local business such a terrible review, but this was actually the worst consumer experience I've ever had.

I ordered an arrangement for my cousin's birthday, as she is in her final semester of college at PSU -- she sent me a picture of the flowers to say thanks. I was extremely disappointed when I saw her flowers, as the photograph advertised on Avant Garden's website (as you can see from my photos attached here) was not what she received. I reached out to Avant Garden, and an employee named Joe was reasonable, apologizing for the inconvenience and telling me he would follow-up with me after speaking with the gentleman who created the arrangement. I was not prepared for the visceral attitude and defensive aggression I received when I spoke with Allan, the owner, on the phone. He first argued with me that the photo I took was not a frontal view of the flowers. I mentioned that, "Honestly, I don't think a frontal view would have made a difference, as there is a clearly noticeable difference in the overall size of the arrangement, and much more of the fuzzy green grass, than actual flowers." I asked him if he wanted me to send a frontal view photo, because I was eager to work with him to amicably resolve the issue. He told me "no."

After offering no apology and no reasonable action to correct the situation, Allen had the audacity to say "just from speaking to you, I can tell nothing we do is going to make you happy," in addition to "I'm not going to go back there and pick up the flowers and make her a new one, because that would be silly. Just take the refund, and we'll call it even." I'm not sure how we can call it "even," when I have been insulted and my cousin's birthday has passed with a disappointing delivery. Now, more than the serious flaw in the quality of the flowers, I'm flabbergasted at the rude and offensive manner in which I was received by the customer service. Looking at the other Google reviews, this rude & defensive customer service seems to be a pattern. Judging by his character, I wonder if he would have spoken to me in this demeaning way -- making it seem MY fault as being unreasonable -- if I had not been a young female.

I've ordered from them twice. First time I was super happy with the end result, even more beautiful than expected and delivered within a days notice. Staff was really friendly. Second time something came up and I had to cancel my order, and they were really nice about it and even offered a refund to me in full. I will absolutely be ordering again some time in the future

My husband ordered a bouquet for my birthday and it is the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I've ever received! Such a lush and full arrangement, most flowers in bloom and some still budding, the perfect framing of greens and I even love the aesthetic of the stems in the beautiful clear glass vase. Such a beautiful birthday surprise!
