Food: 4.5/5 ✨ - Definitely better than your average biscuits! A little char, but we don't mind it (that's a matter of taste - I'm sure you can request a light toast to the biscuit). The lattes are nice (regular and vanilla - the vanilla latte, when paired with oat milk and 2 packets of Sugar in the Raw, tastes almost chocolatey - I definitely recommend it 😄)

This is my go to place to grab a table for some work during mornings when I need a café atmosphere and good coffee. The free parking is a big plus!! Their food is okay, but their bakery items and their coffee is where they actually shine. I love that they provide water to drink to their customers. I only wish they brought back some kind of hazelnut coffee (but in the meantime their toasted marshmallow latte is to die for). And I also wish they could warm up the place a tad bit more but the high ceilings prevent that I guess. It’s just very very cold during winter months. Overall, amazing place and ☕️

This is the best cappuccino I’ve had in a long while. I’d go out of my way for this cappuccino.

Really good flavor and really good milk texture. I can taste the well balanced espresso through the milk.

The barista said that a cappuccino is one of the things they do best, and I was not disappointed! Hands down worth a stop.

It was a bit warm inside, so we sat at the slightly wobbly outdoor seating. But it was not annoying enough to diminish the experience for me.

My favorite coffee shop in state college. The muffins are really amazing and they are very big, they feed the eye before the stomach 🤗 they can easily be shared. Coffee is also good. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is quite cozy.

I’m from out of town but travel here often and whenever I do, I stop at Rothrock. Service is usually pretty great and so is the coffee. Didn’t have a great experience today. I came in to order a black drip coffee to go. I was the third one in line, but when I came in, it was totally quiet and I could tell something was going on with the computer, but then they started taking the couple of orders ahead of me. Those orders were for dine in and they had a food item and a drink that had to be made. When it got to my turn because I said it was to go, she told me that they couldn’t take my order. I wasn’t asked if I wanted to wait until the systems came up or anything, but she didn’t hesitate to take the other peoples orders because they were sitting there and I assume they figured they could collect payment when the system came up. If that the case that’s a weird way for them to look at it because those people could also just leave….Based off of the service today I don’t plan on coming back for some time. Either you take everyone’s order or you take no orders…. “ Hey, sorry everybody our systems are down. We won’t be able to take any orders at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Feel free to wait or come back at another time.” I would’ve been totally fine with that, but to take the people ahead of me was kind of rude.

Cute coffee shop! I’ve been here several times, mostly for the food! The lox toast is amazing! Coffee is just okay.. ! My kiddos enjoy the hot chocolate and steamers(made with syrups in house) great cafe! Overall a good cafe worth a try!

This was so close to my hotel that I had to try it. It was really the Lox toast pics on Yelp that brought me here!

The front counter person was so nice and friendly. Every time I had questions he was so informative and friendly! I wanted to try the Darjeeling earl grey with steamed milk and a touch of honey (I know it’s a “London fog”). It was fabulous! I also got the whole milk latte and the lox toast. It had veggie cream cheese, salmon, cucumbers and picked onions. Exactly what I needed after my long flight the night before and a workout.

It was kinda crowded around 1:15pm ish and died down a lot around 1:30. There were a lot of people using their laptops on the benches inside and limited seating outside. I was able to snag a bench top inside looking into the parking lot.

Great first mini meal in State College, PA!
