My friend and I just arrived in State College and a transitional state and will be currently briefly without housing. My friend was 83 cents short at this store about 3 minutes ago and the kind gentleman behind the counter whose name was Durdeep, told him not to worry about it. When I learned this moments later I grabbed my coinperson went in to settle it and the gentleman refused not knowing our situation to accept the 83 cents. This warm welcome from literally the first service person we encountered in State College means more than I can describe in words during a somewhat terrifying experience. Keep it up Durdeep!

Ive been going to this store for a long long time, back when it was fresh and fill it was run down and had very odd hours, you never knew when it would be open, grab n go on the other hand has more reliable open hours, they repainted and fixed a lot of broken down stuff in around the building. The store has a little bit of everything you need in it and the guys working there are always nice and show that they care a lot about their new business.

the most memorable part of my experience was for sure the cashier (owner?) who asked me to pull out my phone and post a google review. i was like “uh ok i will,” and he pointed at my phone in my pocket and said “right now.” he hadn’t even started scanning my items yet lol i was like “uhhh i will” and paid cash. it was also like 80°F in there

Extremely over priced. Also, none of the itmes have price tags on them. You will not know the price until you get to the register, where you will not know individual prices anyway.

I was very shocked to pay the price for the two items I purchased.

I visited once and that will be the last time they get any money from me.

I think I just happen to run into one of their bad employees, because until today, I've had no problem with the staff here.

However, today I walked into the store (barely awake, start of the workday) and grab my $10 worth of snacks like I do about 3 times per week. I'm standing at the register with my credit card in hand, waiting for her to manually write everything down (seemed like their register was down this morning).... No problem.

She then looks at me and says "We're cash only. SEE THE SIGN? I COULDN'T WRITE IT ANY BIGGER!!." I look over at the door and yes, she had written a sign and posted it on the door that says "Cash Only."

I informed her that she was insanely rude and she did not back down an inch, even though we were pleasant up until she decided to insult me (with another customer behind me).

You see, a normal, friendly cashier would say something along the lines of "Oh, we're cash only, (point to the sign on the door), see? Sorry about the inconvenience." To be honest, I don't even need it to be that courteous, anything besides "I COULDN'T HAVE WRITTEN IT ANY BIGGER!" Followed by rolling her eyes like I'm some sort of idiot for missing the sign.

Anyway, I will no longer be supporting this local business, I guess Sheetz will get more of my money. Which is a shame; as an irresponsible adult who never packs breakfast/lunch, they're really going to miss out on some revenue over the coming months. I usually spend about $30/week there.

This was the tall lady with blonde hair and tattoos.
