We come here for the assortment of pastries, baklava and Turkish rolls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Be prepared to spend some time throughout the store. Best prices on many items. Sunflower oil is sold here and large selection of olive oil and teas.

They’ve got everything from Arabic to Persian items. The bread selection is acceptable, and they even have Kashk, which is super hard to find in regular stores. The setup is like a mini Costco—everything’s stacked high and easy to see, which is super helpful. Modeled on a much smaller scale akin to Costco, the store’s layout is a warehouse-style design where goods are efficiently stacked on top of each other, making the most of the space. This layout not only contributes to an interesting shopping experience but also makes it easy to spot different items from a variety of angles.Additionally, Phoenicia does not limit its offerings to just groceries. The store also features a range of kitchenware and some homeware, adding an extra layer of convenience for shoppers looking to grab various household items alongside their groceries.

This place is THE Middle Eastern grocery store of Houston. On one side, they offer fresh pita on a conveyor belt, a variety of sweet treats at the bakery, a butcher next to the deli, café seating for a quick snack or lunch... and the other side are aisles of goods like a typical grocery store, but good luck finding many of these items anywhere else. They also have a smaller downtown location but this one is preferred if you don't mind the drive to West Houston.
