A beautiful little place to visit! The tea selection had plenty of options to choose from, and you can get them hot or iced. We got the biggest options and they came with soup, petit sandwiches and desserts. The young lady working was fabulous and kind. It was definitely an experience and my kids loved it!

My mom took me here for Valentine’s Day. It was our first time there and we drove about 25 minutes to get there. The outside of the tea house is painted a fun purple color. You enter into a very small, cramped foyer and we were greeted right away. They found our reservation and escorted us to our table, which was through the main room and into a smaller “back room” with just one other table. We were seated directly in front of the kitchen entrance. It was very cramped. I even just about knocked a bunch of tea sets off the wall trying to get my coat on and off. The tablecloth was pretty but the chairs are the cheap ugly black stackable ones. Rather than beautiful tea pots and dishes, each seat is outfitted with a small, solid colored tea pot (neither of us were fans of our colors) and a small plate and tea cup set. The tiny tea spoons were cute. Cloth antique-looking napkins were very cute but also very small. We were provided with a lengthy menu of teas to choose from and started our meal with our choice of tea. Now the food. I didn’t care for the salad and only took one small bite. Neither of us liked the tomato bisque which had tons of tiny cut up onions and a bad taste. It was also served in a tiny little bowl. Servers were fine but never asked if my (uneaten) food was ok. Next they brought out a 2-tier tray with a few tea sandwiches and some deserts. Overall, we weren’t fond of most of the sandwiches and left several untouched. We each had a strawberry white chocolate scone with cream, which was good. The other desserts weren’t eaten either. They served two cake pops and called them “truffles”. We took the desserts home to my children, who were only interested in the cake pops. The cost for this lovely meal was $40/person and then they added on an almost 25% tip automatically! Overall, very disappointing experience and we won’t go back.

UPDATE: the tip added was indeed 18%, my mistake. And yes, now that it has been brought to my attention, I recall there was a third table squished behind our tables. Otherwise, I stand by my review. I’m sorry you felt the need to discredit my review, rather than take the constructive criticism.

Of the many Tea Rooms that the women in our family have gone to, over the years, this one was the best, by far. The perfect Tea Room experience. We had reservations for four and they were ready for us. They gave each table a time limit of an hour and a half in order to accommodate the ones with reservations after us. That was plenty of time to relax and enjoy without rushing.The food, and the staff, and the set-up, everything was Top-Notch. The food is unique and delicious...seems homemade. The selection of Teas is fantastic. The place has two rooms for use and both were full. We loved that they had had a selection of hats for those who wanted to wear one. They also have a nice selection of cute things to satisfy the shopping gene....including the different Teas. I will say that the web site does not do the place justice at all.

Another great date with a friend! Sat for over 2 hours and caught up all while drinking endless pots of tea and the best scones, finger sandwiches, and desserts. The soup was devine: broccoli and cheese. And the gift shop has it all. I even bought the making for their tomato bisque. Yum! Highly recommend Chocolate Carmel Turtle tea. You won't regret it!

Today we visited for the first time to have my daughter's 4th birthday party💜💞 It was everyone's first tea party ever, and we had such a fun time!! Everything about it was so cute and perfect for a girly girl like my daughter. The tea and food were so delightful! The scones were the best scones I have ever tasted, the Desserts and sandwiches were delicious, plus the soup was very yummy. I already can't wait to go back to try more goodies. The staff were all incredibly sweet and attentive, and the place is super cozy and beautiful! Thank you for the lovely experience we highly recommend it!! Also, special thanks for setting up pink for my daughter at my request, very much appreciated!!🌸

Absolutely gorgeous tea shop! The food was great; I especially LOVED the scones! So good! The experience was lovely! The sweet waitress found out it was for my sister's birthday so she came out with a cute cupcake with a candle! My sister loved it! I gave five stars because that's what it deserves! Would recommend to any lady who wants fancy high tea!

We’ve been experiencing the Queens Tea at Tranqilitea for years. Exceptional service, most delectable scones, sandwiches, soup & desserts. We always buy packets of loose leaf tea for home also. Beautiful gift ideas!

This was a totally unexpected surprise in the heart of Waynesboro! We have traveled to several tea houses around Asia, but nothing ever as delightful as this. This is a British style tea party including scones and dinner sandwiches. Bring your daughter and she will instantly up her tea party game! We will return again and again!
