Maybe the best small town bookstore I have ever experienced! Well organized, incredibly friendly staff, one of which is often the owner. Her love of books, reading, and her community shines in her thoughtful interactions with customers, and the amazingly full section on all things Alaska and Kenai Peninsula. I never leave River City Books empty-handed, and they always offer to wrap anything I buy if needed, for free. Hope you all enjoy visiting as much as I do!

A beautiful store that has a great selection of books. Everything from children's, YA, adult, and local! We stopped by on our way to Homer because I had finished my book and need another for our trip. We ended up stopping by again on our way back through two days later! They have a cute little market attached to the back as well. If I lived local, I'd be here a lot.
