We had the best breakfast & coffee at Felix. The space is beautifully designed - elegant yet cozy. We had coffee and a matcha latte with their homemade nut milk and it was amazing! The food selection is great and their ricotta toast is literally a work of art. We were a little hesitant to come at first due to the low google rating, however, it seems most of the bad reviews are due to the 15% gratuity automatically applied. Definitely agree that is annoying and the only downside to this cafe. We will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

A Delightful Experience at Felix Roasting Co. in Aspen

During my four-day stay in Aspen, visiting Felix Roasting Co. became a daily highlight, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Justine and her team. Justine was an absolute ray of sunshine—kind, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make me feel welcome. Whether I was ordering matcha, hot chocolate, pastries, or avocado toast, she ensured every detail was perfect, from the beautifully crafted drinks to checking in on my comfort.

Her warm and thoughtful service, along with her ability to remember my name, made each visit feel personal and special. She greeted me with a smile and always made sure other guests were well taken care of. The entire team upheld the highest level of service, truly reflecting the first class service— which is expected from an Auberge property.

Felix Roasting Co. is not just a café—it’s an experience. I can’t wait to return!

Fancy Fancy.

First time in Aspen and we need to kill some time in the morning so we popped in for a Chai and coffee and ended up trying breakfast.
The Avo Toast is superb !!! Probably the most artisan toast I’ve ever had.

Staff was friendly. Even the hotel bathroom was fancy.

I love coffee and this place is very nice looking. I’m not one for critiquing the beans themselves because I understand the flavor profiles people like vary, but I ordered a cortado and wasn’t a huge fan. Texture was off and latte art was weak. Service was nothing spectacular but was not awful. Fairly unengaged is all. The place itself looks very clean and inviting. Very comfortable. I would try it again, but I’d probably order a latte or something more forgiving than a straight espresso or cortado.

Felix has a soft spot in my heart for the atmosphere. This is NOT the coffee shop for you if you're looking for cheap cup'o joe. Felix prices reflect the aspen luxury experience (15% min gratuity is added to bill). The coffee is reasonable in taste, however the pastries are phenomenal as are the offered bites. I often take clients here for the experience and visual presentation.

Chai tea was precise A great chai tea is a harmonious blend of robust black tea and a medley of warming spices. The base tea is strong enough to hold its own, often Assam or Darjeeling, providing a rich, malty backdrop. The spices—typically a mix of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and black pepper—are balanced perfectly, each one enhancing the others without overpowering the cup. The addition of creamy milk (often whole or plant-based) softens the spices, creating a smooth, comforting texture. Sweetened just enough to highlight the flavors, this chai is fragrant, warming, and invigorating, making it a delightful experience with every sip.

Really confused by low ratings here. People seemed shocked that aspen is expensive? That shouldn’t be news to anyone visiting here lol anyway Amazing coffee and great staff. Probably one of the best almond croissants I ever had as well. Highly recommend
