The staff is super friendly and not pushy on sales which is great! If you need gear recommendations they are there to help, and very knowledgeable. They carry a wide range of camping, hiking, and climbing equipment. Check them out!

This is a great place for mountaineering equipment. We were looking to do a snow hike and were able to rent the snow boots from here. The staff was really helpful, rental prices are affordable. Good service and the quality of products was nice! They keep their rental equipment clean which I really appreciate and gave good advice.

Went to purchase Skis, bindings, boots and poles for a SkiMo setup and had a terrible experience. Sad to say. I love shopping local so I went here first. After telling the store representative I’m not a skier and what my intentions are of uphill fitness since I’m a ultramarathon runner, he helped me try on a few boots. Then proceeded to tell me to go rent and decide what I want to do. Essentially they showed me the door. Just odd since I decided what I want to do already. That’s why I was at the store trying to buy products. I’ll be going to SkiMo in SLC now for sure. Already had one phone call to them and it was an amazing experience compared to Teton Mountaneering. Highly recommend SkiMo.

This is one of our favorite shops for mountaineering and climbing gear and apparel. And it has one of the best selections around of mountaineering/hiking boots...for men AND women. A lot of stores will have technical footwear choices for men but not the same caliber of offerings for women. Not here. Lots of options for women. I have shopped at Teton Mountaineering for decades and I live NOWHERE near the store. But I do make a point to trip into Jackson when I am in the area, just to be sure to stop at Teton Mountaineering. If you are just getting into hiking/mountaineering or are an experienced climber/hiker, these folks will help you with your gear, footwear, clothing, and information needs. My hiking boots from my last visit at Teton Mountaineering for attention. 🙂

Had some time to kill on a Sunday morning before driving back to Salt Lake City, so hopped in to check out this store. Very nice setup. When we went in early September, there were lots of nice running and hiking shoes on sale. Good sampling of all the camping essentials on the second floor too. Staff was nice and kept inquiring if we needed any help.

Absolutely terrible service. The employees are rude and the manager is horrible. I bought a pair of shoes that I didn’t use at all because my trip plans changed. When I tried to return them I was told no because of a scuff mark on the shoe that was there when I bought it. I was told by the employee that sold me the shoes that I could return them if they were unworn. I highly discouraged anyone from going here.
