After having stayed at another property in Thermopolis the previous night, this property was an absolute blessing. Spotlessly clean, well appointed, expansive parking area and super nice people. Truly a hidden gem! Returning in a few weeks and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

We booked our stay here at the last minute, but are so glad we chose to stay here. The owner/operator was helpful every step of the way- she was responsive to phone calls and guiding us with directions, flexible with rooming options for our larger family, and gave us lots of recommendations for local places to eat, fish, and swim in the hot springs. She even provided us with towels to use at the hot springs. The rooms were clean and the location is super convenient. And really affordable! We enjoyed our stay and will stay again if we return to Thermopolis!

We decided to stay 2 nights in Thermopolis to relax at the hot springs. The drive into town along a winding river gorge was unexpected and fantastic, and the free state park hot spring was amazing. We were greeted enthusiastically at the El Rancho front desk, and aside from the comfortable, clean, quiet and affordable rooms, our main reason to write this review is to highlight the warmth, kindness, and friendliness of the El Rancho staff. We felt like guests, while at most chain motels or hotels we feel like customers. Do you get this distinction? Finally, we agree with most of the other reviewers that this was a fine place to stay, and we had a 110% different experience from the one negative review review we read about this motel. Blessed to have stayed at the El Rancho, and we loved our 3 days as first-time visitors to Thermopolis. Definitely would stay and visit there again!

Just a very nice basic clean place to stay don’t be looking for linen sheets don’t be looking for marble in the bathroom. It’s just a fun little spot.

This is such a cute and friendly place! Stopped here during a 2 week long road trip and it was one of the nicest places we stayed at. The rooms are comfy and cozy. They gave great suggestions for dinner and things to do. Affordable and hospitable. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at the El Rancho Motel. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Tabitha and family are amazing hosts! There was a very "homey" feel to this place. Make this your home base when visiting Thermopolis and you will not be disappointed.

We were pleasantly suprised by this vintage, western themed motel. From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly and so responsive. The rooms are charming and very clean. The comfortable beds and convenient location, as well as wonderful suggestions of where to go and what to see from the staff, really made our experience so lovely. We are excited to see what their rebranding as "Edge of the Canyon Motel" will bring!

Called directly to book as I don't trust third party booking. Super nice co-owner. Booked room and gave credit card info to hold. |Pros: |1. owner super sweet|2. Rooms clean|3. Beds comfy|Cons:|1. Lady that saw us arrive rushed to office looking frustrated. Was in a hurry and tossed forms to the other guests that arrived at same time and to me. Then did a rant about using our credit cards. Said they preferred cash or check. I said no I was paying with cc. She then ranted about having to pay 3 percent. I said I was never told anything about cash or checks. Please just take my cc. So she did then proceeded with the same rant to the other quests who also said use our cc. . Just unprofessional. |2. Barn door for bathroom. No lock. Please put maybe a latch. |3. No soap in bathroom. Had to yell out to my husband to bring soap from lav in room
