Those people are ruthless. Dont commit a crime in alabama or you'll come for vacation and leave on probation. If you're lucky, or after you've sat in that nasty messed up violent jail where the guards are just as likely to beat you up as the inmates. As a matter of fact, it's just a good idea not to go to alabama period. If I wasn't in a wheelchair I would have left long ago and never come back. This place is hot, and the people are rude. The legal system is a financial meat grinder, there's nothing "just" about it. If you can afford it, you can do whatever you want. I can't, soooooo......, not a good place to be.

Just a heads up for anyone getting an Alabama title.On 3-11-16 I was turned away at the Jefferson County Courthouse because I was told that Form MVT 5-10 (vin# verification) was no longer accepted. This was by the guy standing at the entrance of the tag and title line checking to see if you had the proper paper work. I called the Centerpoint Courthouse and was told they will accept it with prior approvement from their management. I then call the revenue office in Montgomery and was told that form MVT 5-10 is accepted only when the vehicle can't be driven or delivered to the inspection location. Three different answers from the same department. My vehicle is in the shop and not running so it seems to me I met the criteria. The man told me that the state no longer accepts the form in any circumstances, which is clearly untrue.

There are injustices afoot everywhere I'm sure. But there are too many good ones in that multitude of justices to label them as anything but honorable.
