I have always loved PFTP, but my visit today was disappointing.
It seemed like every single soul working there were doing their best to get away from having to help someone as quickly as possible.
They wouldn't even look you in the face!
We had someone ask us how we were doing, but nobody asked if they could help us, and I asked a young lady about native plants twice, and she would just point in a direction. Wouldn't even ask what I was specifically looking to find
One very nice lady saw me bewildered among the plants, after standing in the sun for over an hour trying to flag someone down.
Bless her for asking if I needed help.
I had a question about a rose, and she introduced me to the man who could answer it.
Even Jason seemed in a hurry to get away, walking away while I was still speaking with him. We spoke for a grand total of about 5 minutes.

My goodness! What has happened to the place?

That was the major highlight of the visit.
They had very few of the native varieties I wanted, and what was there, wasn't in the best shape for the kind of price point.
At least give a discount on the leftover, scraggly plants.
I came home disappointed and empty-handed.
I don't know what's going on with Petals these days, and think they should hire more people if everyone is avoiding customers.
A better idea would be to hire someone that specifically greets and directs customers to staff for help. The sweet lady in the pink shirt made my 3 rating possible. Otherwise, it would have been lower. Just disappointed totally. Photo is my own, and the rose in question.

The antique Cottage Rose I ordered Sunday has arrived on Wednesday. Thank you Petals for such speed in shipping & the wonderful packaging. I was hoping for planting & growing directions which I forgot to ask for but being the rose growers you are, you included that in the packaging. Thank you for wonderfully covering every aspect of this purchase. I just know I’m going to love this particular rose.

I honestly wasn’t much of a plant person until I discovered Petals from the Past. As soon as spring arrives, we make the trip to get all of our herbs, vegetables, and hard to find plants. They also have a wide variety of succulents, cactuses, bushes and trees. Their large staff is always very friendly and helpful. To top it off their prices are very affordable. Why go anywhere else?

This is the most amazing nursery! The employees are there to answer any questions and help you find what you want. If you are looking for something special that those other stores don’t carry, this is your place. And don’t get me started on the speciality gifts they carry. It has definitely become our favorite nursery.

Very nice nursery. They got lots of flowers and plants for the garden. I bought jasmine plants, which have amazing smell, herbs, kale, and strawberry plants. They have pond with fish. And lots of trees to plant. They also have flower seeds that you can buy a teaspoon or tablespoon or more.

Sprawling acres of flowers, ground cover, and fruit/vegetables. If it grows they probably have it. The prices were better than the big box stores on some things like potting soil. Helpful and friendly staff.

Always a treat to browse the plants that they have in the nursery. I have taken some of their classes that are very informative and helpful. The staff is very helpful, and knowledgeable. The shop is filled with very interesting items. They have days when you can pick your own fruit. Check out their website for up coming events, there is always something interesting happening. I highly recommend!
