The Bargain Basement is the place to go to find whatever the other stores don't have and at a better deal. Now that Crystal is back as manager the Bargain Basement has totally improved 100%. The shelves look better and the staff are awesome. I shop there all the time. The clothes are great and the prices are perfect. i recommend everyone go there you will defiantly find something you need or want.

Best thrift store I ever been to. The staff is great and everything is laid out and easy to find what you're looking for. I just bought a mini fridge there and works great after got it home. Hope this place stays in business a long time .

This place has A LOT of everything. If you need it, they probably have it. I think it's a great place for Alaska visitors to get clothing and equipment for their Alaska adventures that they don't use or want at home. You can buy a rain coat, a warm coat, a warm hat, sleeping bags, clam shovels, treking poles, even fishing rods (if you know what you're looking for) and use them for your vacation and return them to the Bargain Basement when you leave. They don't really buy most used stuff but they would take it off your hands. The prices are fair and the shopping trip is an entertaining diversion on a rainy day.

I go there like Everybody else does. Great place to find a few needed items and mostly decent prices.

No business that goes through that much personal merchandise of such
a really personal nature to so many uniquely different people and over so many long years of use, can really be expected to get all those different smells out completely!

Try they must of course, but I think that they owe a bigger duty to the community to clearly wash and dry everything they take into the store to sell that they possibly can. And if at all possible to try and disinfect everything they can as well.

But after that! I think it falls to the buyer to take the next steps of caring for the product that they clearly had a choice in buying or Not, when they went through the checkout line when purchasing that item.

Just don't buy the items that offends your senses. And if your talking about the general smell of the building itself, then I can tell you right now that you might as well Stop going out looking for the cheaper prices that you think are available within these thrift stores.

Ever been to a Freshly Stocked Seafood store where you can get your Seafood still alive and kicking? I've chased many different species of Crabs that just wasn't having anything to do with the large boiling pots of Seasoned water i was trying to put them in.

Point being is that the smells that offend your senses may be the same smells that your senses are looking for because your senses associate themselves with those bargains.

That is why you are attracted to lots of different smells. By reasons of association. Dare me to say by, means of attraction? Think about that for a moment. Yeah, I know... Crazy Right? Or Not! That's up to the individual to decide... That's what we do when we buy something that we really don't need and we believye that we can find a better one then this one in hand, in the checkout line.

Absolutely hoarded with overpriced trash. They try to get the most out of every single tshirt and mug, not including their other products which they price for hundreds of dollars. Instead of using money to fix the place up they have a Dodge Challenger and a big fancy Ford truck both with the Bargain Basement decal parked in front. Place looks like a dump just driving by.

Very friendly and helpful people and lots of great stuff. Usually overpriced for what they are but they often have specials that bring them down to very reasonable levels. Managers will make deals with you that can really leave you with a bargain.

This thrift shop has a lot of stuff. There are awesome bargains here. Tools, crafts, housewares of all kinds, business machines, a thousand calculators, antiques, games, and so much more. I recommend visiting here often.

Absolutely love shopping here. Great prices, friendly staff. Far better than your average thrift store. Has clothes in an incredible variety of sizes too.
