The people here are very friendly and quite helpful with information. You can tell that the people that work there have a wide variety of passions and interests relating to video games and collectibles of all genre types. If you are looking for a nostalgia trip this is the place. There are also lots of new titles from recent releases as well.

It has a really great variety of used games. If you ever had an old console that you want to buy games for this place is worth checking out.

If you like collecting Pokémon plush, also a great place to check out.

This place also offers repairs of old consoles and they also sell spare parts. I haven’t tried it but it’s also worth asking them. A few folks working there have tinkerer mentalities and seem quite knowledgeable. I asked about repairing an old game boy with corroded battery.

Right now Pokémon cards are a hot buy with the recent Pokémon surge and they sell them here, there’s smaller packs that can be purchased as well as booster packs. The folks there are quite helpful, if you are a parent that needs help buying Pokémon cards they’re quite friendly and may offer an idea of what to potentially buy, these cards are all random so they may not get their favorite Pokémon or it may not be as available.

Always a great experience coming in and browsing all the new selection and just taking in on the nostalgia.

They’re great on selling and trading in your video games as well. There’s a couch and plenty of standing free play kiosk to help pass time (no quarters required!)

Great place. I love it. The staff are friendly, they have a good selection of games... plus plushies!! I love how you can also trade in games. Between this place and phoenix games, they are both amazing. The only issue I have is that there's not enough arcade games but that's a nit pick at this point.

Great to see more retro game stores, especially in the East Bay! This store has a healthy collection of retro titles from Game Gear, Saturn and of course Xbox/PlayStation/Nintendo. There's a good split of domestic and international versions of games. They also expanded the store, so there's a lot more room for everything, including a bigger plushie wall and a much larger selection of modern games. They have a few cabinets for folks to play with, too. The staff are all very chill and they'll do their best to find you what you want rain or shine. Probably the best customer service in any game store in the Bay. When we were unsure about whether to buy a game, they let us test play it on a system, which was great. On occasion, we also had to do an exchange and it's always been hassle free. It helps that the folks here genuinely enjoy what they do and are happy to talk about everything gaming or otherwise. I always make it a point to stop in when I'm in the area!

I always find some great JRPGs here at reasonable prices. Sometimes I even score a really good deal on something. Definitely worth checking them out, if you're looking for some games.

Beautiful little shop that every gamer should visit. They have a great selection of games from every generation. They also stock modern titles and do pre orders for upcoming games! Now that the Fruitvale GameStop is closed, this is for sure the place to go for games if you live in Alameda.
