Wow, haven't visited Mike and Linda since Covid. My mistake!

Linda is still amazingly helpful and generous with her expertise. Mike shares memes with me, utterly amazing. We talked current news and what not, always enjoyable to speak with a fellow State of Jefferson champion.

Had to raise some cash and reluctantly sold off a 100 oz Engelhard silver bar. It's always horrible to me, I feel like I'm selling off a child. I still think of bar tabs and any receipt really in ounces of silver. Got the best price from these folks, a buck under spot. It was the furthest away, but I hadn't visited in a longgg time so rather than going to someone closer, I made the long trek to Alameda.

Still highly recommend this shop, easy street parking and there's actually some armed security on the Lincoln Ave. side due to the weed dispensary there. Nicee.

Not what I expected when I first walked in. There wasn't any fancy display cabinets filled with shiney gold and silver for me to look at. Then again, why should there be? The shiney object started with what Mike had to offer me in the terms of knowledge. Mike is straight forward and while a bit gruff (which I kinda enjoy), he was totally kool to deal with, a straight shooter indeed. I definitely will be stopping back by again. Thanks Mike

Early 2022, I walked in with a sleeve of walking/standing liberties. He said " I can't do anything with these, I can give you scrap value" I was astonished. Scrap?
They were never touched. 2 weeks later I saw one with a sold sign on it. He threw me out of the store. I have business ro do!!! Remember that Pal. Being a retired S.S. guy fron DC I bit my tongue hoping he would touch me. No such luck. I suspected they were stolen. He didn't care.never asked.Gobble gobble

I had some silver dimes from the 1960's. They told me it was just " regular money". I ended up taking it to a better spot and made a few hundred dollars..! .... Regular money.. ha

Not sure what some of these other folks are whining about. I went in to Fort Knox 3 times today and found Michael and his son to be consummate professionals. Not only did they pay me fair market value for my scrap gold, they were very helpful in answering my many questions. They even took the time to research an oddly-colored chain and call me at home to inform me it contained 9KT gold! Nice to find an honest merchant in this line so close to home.
