Kosher indeed, fair prices, tho difficult to find parking, even though there is parking in the back, it's not clearly marked, so I missed it, found parking on cross street.

It’s a kosher market so there is not a lot to explain beyond that. The inside is a bit cramped but the patrons are quite friendly and seem to know almost everyone who comes in. A great place to shop if you need kosher food👈

Female cashier was rude and did not hand me my receipt in hand and refused to take her time despite there being no line and mishandled our items. She was very passive aggressive and made it very obvious. Then an old man in a red apron followed me and my partner and wouldn’t stop directly staring at us while we shopped. Truly shocked despite this being our first time. Due to his age I initially didn’t think much of it but he was greeting other folks just fine but had a negative attitude/stature towards us. Then upon checkout, he stood behind us in line to “make sure we pay” along with the rude older blonde female cashier giving us a hard time. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on and will also advise others to not buy from here.
We don’t look jewish but I thought we were passed that in society. Just awful people who work here who discriminate and are rude.

Extremely popular and very busy. Unfortunately it is a relatively small market so lots of navigating through shoppers. Cashiers are not overly customer service oriented. Basically just do their job ringing up customers merchandise. But not too friendly. Products they have are good but a bit expensive. Other kosher markets are less expensive. They do not have a deli counter that serves fresh deli and salads.

I have been going to La Brea Kosher for years and am always pleased. The store is very clean, well organized, has an excellent selection and pleasant staff. Nice assortment of Jewish news publications as well (i.e. Yated Ne'eman, Mishpacha, Hamodia, etc.) I wish they carried some Yiddish newspapers like Der Blatt. Great store, however! Definitely recommended!!

The fresh stuff is okay but half the packaged food I bought is expired. I’m not the only reviewer to experience this so clearly they are in the habit of selling expired food...

EDIT: lol I feel sorry for ‘the store on pico’ if they’re getting blamed for your business practices. Stop selling expired food.
