It's a good "around the corner store" where you can get the necessary. They do accept WIC, I'm unsure about EBT. I'll say their items are a bit overpriced but, it is around the corner so it's convenient for locals. They also make fresh breads in their bakery & do have a small location within the store for those who need money orders, send money internationally &/or get lottery tickets.

People say China Joe has got to go because of crushing inflation and the migrant crisis. So Gardena Super's great prices may not make you forget the out of control violent crime in the neighborhood but the service and selection are very good.

DO NOT ORDER CAKES FROM HERE. They mess up every single time we order. Terrible management.

Went to order a cake for my grandmas 90th birthday. It was her most favorite. Picked it up and the outside was completely different then what we had told them. We kept it anyways. Later on when we were cutting the cake, the inside was complete different.

Their cakes do taste amazing but they cannot design or remember orders that they write down.

May 2023 .. Produce looks fresh and a lot to pick from. Meat selection is great and looks good quality. A Grade hot food tastes excellent, good portion sizes. and at a good price. ?

It's clean and the clerks are polite and helpful, however the prices are high and you aren't always given the price listed for the sale. Watch your receipts.
UPDATE: The ownership has changed, I think and the prices are better, no more mistakes at the register. Most of the staff are the same. The store is very clean and the sale item prices are awesome!!

Nasty food. Rotten and expired. Gnat flies all over the place, rancid meat that even a lion wouldnt eat. Place smells funky. Expensive

Great for produce. But please have the butcher cut open the wrap of ANY meat they have out...do a sniff test prior to purchase....last 2 purchases were rancid smelling. Do not purchase any case ready meat before doing a sniff test. Health hazard

Place is small, prices are good, sometimes fruit is expensive and fruit is not that good. There are a couple of cashiers that are a pain in the a.. i always avoid them if I see that they are working. They built la metal fence around the the parking lot and it looks really bad. Any way some people might like it.
