This 10-inch Japanese chocolate cake was amazing! It was light and not too sweet, with just the right amount of chocolate flavor. The chocolate shavings on top added a nice touch. Perfect for anyone who likes a cake that's not too rich or sugary!

Love love love this place. Amazing selection of fresh and unique fruits, excellent selection of grab and go lunches and amazing hot food bar. Always fresh and they do half price on all the grab and go towards the end of the day. Everything is always fresh and tasty and honestly amazing value. I absolutely love their fried veggie patties and I think they are $1.50 each. Can easily have a great easy lunch with a drink for under $10

Staff is always friendly, store is always clean, service is always fast. This is my favorite market 🙂

Very nice area to visit Nijiya Market Torrance Store in 182nd St. So nice & clean!! Excellent quality, service food etc. I really enjoy shopping purchasing Curry pan, tempura such as kakiage korrokee, chicken karaage & yasai vegetables produce sushi & much more!! I don’t purchase drinks because it’s expensive. Snacks are expensive too. Buying Pocky with cheap prices is worth it. I could sit at the table and the counter eat food & drink water from the cup relax watching Japanese shows on my phone. Of course inside the restroom is extremely clean & comfortable. Highly recommended for customers visit to Nijiya Torrance. Japanese items are great but the ume plum that we trying to buy is too expensive quit making ume juice at home instead. Security is there protecting the store. Very safe & convenient. No problem at all!

To go Sushi at this Nijiya is DA BEST. The quality is far much better than the other Nijiya in DTLA and Sawtelle. The chefs here know what they are doing. Look at these Tuna rolls!! Big solid bright red of bluefin tuna, and tastes even better than what it looks. Bravo to whoever is doing the job so beautifully and thank you ?

Ok, you seriously can go wrong! This place is truly a foodie’s paradise. Starting with their best selection of fresh produce and seasonal products, their isles are filled with must haves including quality curry selections, spices anD delicious snacks. However, for me, the best part is their hot food section, a daily selection of croquettes and other hot foods are simply amazing, the cold food section is also great filled with rolls, sashimi , bentos and meals ready to warm up. Everything is offered at a great value and worth a friendly smile.

Delicious place to have lunch. I love a supermarket that also has a kitchen for fresh hot foods! When they have sales, the discounted items are a great deal. All the employees are very courteous and the store is very well kept.
The price of the groceries reflect the city’s demographics….

Today I had the #20 Tonkatsu Ramen along with their Curry Croquette. They use flour noodles which taste great and fresh (I’m picky and these noodles were quality)! Not only that but they also had a flavored egg, tasty n crunchy bamboo shoots, very umami packed and thick seaweed, and wonderfully charred chatsu pork.
Their soup has the right level of saltiness and sweetness… honestly better than those ramen places in downtown! I had a very happy lunch 🙂
The prices are great but you may want to choose add ons or a second portion if youre big like me. I was highly satisfied!

High quality fresh organic makes Nijiya Market the Whole Foods of the Japanese markets. Large verities of sushi and fresh prepared meals to take along with you or if you can’t wait just warm up using the on site microwave, have a seat either inside or outside and eat away. Also do the same ordering off the menu, nothing fancy, noodle and rice dishes that are made with fresh ingredients that you can taste and best of all priced right.
