Lots of expired stuff, in both the coolers and the shelves. Check dates before buying, cause they’re not.

Great neighborhood bodega with a good selection. Owners are receptive to stocking specific items on request. Super friendly bodega dog. This place was a lifesaver during the early part of the pandemic, often having things in stock that were sold out at the large grocery stores.

It was officially called Banner Foods when I lived on Alvarado Street. But we all called it "Jack's" after the wonderful owner/operator.

I visited "Jack's" a few years ago. There were some changes in layout, but still the same "mom & pop store" vibe. Nice to see it's still going strong.

Owner made some really inappropriate comments as we were walking by. I will never shop here again.

This is a nice little family run corner store that looks basically the same as it did 50 years ago.
